"I didn't mention Jason Arday because I was embarrassed at what it revealed about the left but now he's killed himself I can safely use him to virtue signal."
I never met Jason Arday, and know nothing about him beyond what I have read, seen and heard in the media. As the debate around him raged in recent weeks, I stayed out of it, precisely because it struck me as one of those occasional frenzies in which facts get lost and humans cease to be treated as humans. I now wish I had reached out to him, tried to encourage him that “this too shall pass.” Many people today, those who knew him above all but also many like me who didn’t, will be feeling sadness and anger that this has all led to his death, a family suddenly without a father, parents without a son. None of us will ever know exactly what was going through his mind, but it is hard to disagree with @MayorofLondon that Jason Arday faced “an unacceptable public hounding and campaign of abuse … pernicious public shaming that other people in his position wouldn’t have faced.” Whatever the truth of the allegations against him, would he have suffered such a hounding had he been white, with short hair? I doubt it. The zeal with which the Trumpian anti-DEI brigade in the U.K. leapt on this story to try to push back the wheel of progress towards genuine equality was horrible. Again, Sadiq is right to say “His death was a tragedy but it should be a wake-up call for all of us.” RIP Jason. And to all of us, if ever you think someone you know may have cause to be suicidal, reach out to them.

This may be unpopular, but we never escaped the 2008 financial crisis. We just shifted the pain.

The reason they call me a Nazi is to encourage people to murder me

History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet. Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years. And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor. You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.

I want to be really clear in my response. I am not going to retract anything, I stand by every single word. Labour are calling for me to apologise. The answer is no. Industrial rape across almost every town and city in Britain. Sexual torture. Murder. Endless rape. I sat there for two weeks, listening to these girls. I heard how one girl was raped by a dog, as Muslim men bet on what the animal would do. Girls drugged and locked in cages, like rats. Another, raped by 700 men over three years. Dozens and dozens of these stories through our inquiry, and we are barely scratching the surface. This was allowed to happen EXACTLY because politicians were cowards, refusing to discuss it. I will not make that same mistake. I said what I said, and I meant it. The Labour Party have blood on their hands, yet they think they can demand an apology from me for highlighting the systemic evil they allowed to infect our entire country? They can piss off. I am angry about it. Furious. When you hear directly from these girls about what they have been through, it changes the way you see politics. Forever. Our report will be out very soon. When that happens, I don’t want any apologies from the Labour Party. I don’t care about that. I want to see those politicians responsible for covering up this atrocity behind bars for what they have done to these girls.

The Government will collect £331bn in income tax this year, and spend £333bn on welfare. In other words, we now spend more on people not working than we raise from those who do. And the cost? Debt per person has risen from £11.5k in 2000 (inflation adjusted) to over £41k today.

So the UK's 10-year gilt yield - the cost of government borrowing - is now up at 2008 levels. An 18-year high The difference is that, back then, UK national debt was 48pc of GDP, and now it's the best part of 100pc. So the debt service costs are much MUCH heavier. Of the £14.3bn the UK government borrowed in February alone, no less than £13bn of that was spent on interest on existing debts - a situation which is not only unsustainable, but very close to provoking a disastrous financial collapse. Yet still, our national discourse is all about more spending, more borrowing, more "state intervention". When is the Labour party – and much of the listless, unthinking rump of the UK's political and media class – going to start acknowledging reality? WHEN ....?

A dairy farmer I know has 200 acres. His mum, who still owns the farm, is 93. His accountant has told him there’s no planning they can do given his mother’s age. So he’s sold the cows and given up farming and taken a full time job aged 62 - to minimise the family’s bill when his mum inevitably dies. This is by no stretch of the imagination a rich family. 200 acres no longer farmed. Over 1million fewer litres of milk produced a year. Thanks Rachel. No farmers, no food.

🚨 BREAKING President Milei will issue a decree prohibiting the National Treasury from printing money to finance public spending. Additionally, he plans to submit a bill to Congress banning the introduction of laws that undermine fiscal balance, reinforcing his commitment to maintaining a zero-deficit policy. The proposed bill aligns with his unbreakable fiscal rule.

Tories saying "Deport all illegal immigrants" is like an arsonist starting a wildfire & then calling for a ban on matches The Boriswave of migrants from culturally incompatible lands was the greatest act of harm in our long island story We don't want to hear from you ever again

Being British involves having to accept DAILY child rapes from immigrants & face imprisonment if you suggest doing anything about that.
In 12 days we have 11 girls sexually assaulted, raped or the victim of violence by Channel migrants.

Over 16 million people in the UK are now opting for private healthcare - myself included. We should introduce tax deductions for those of us easing the burden on the NHS. If we’re taking the pressure off, our taxes should reflect that
