The BBC are referring to the riots in France as 'protests'.
Does this look like a 'protest' to you? You cannot hate the BBC enough.

She has paid taxes and honoured her part of the social contract. What on earth was the point? The state has hung her out to dry just to appease the barbarians. Why would anyone pay taxes in France? The state is their enemy
FRANCE 🇫🇷 : A heartbreaking scene😢.
A business owner desperately pleads with looters and vandals to leave her shop alone.
Her livelihood is being destroyed before her eyes.
No business owner should have to endure this.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The store is a Franprix, a major French supermarket chain with hundreds of locations, not a small independent shop. Social media reports identify the woman as a fellow protester condemning the looting, not the owner.

NEW: France has dropped its opposition to the UK being included in the EU’s “Made in Europe” legislation as long as the British government aligns with the bloc’s position over tariffs on Chinese EVs.
In a breakthrough for Andy Burnham, Paris on Thursday came round to backing Germany, which has always supported the UK’s calls to be designated European for the purposes of the Industrial Accelerator Act.
The legislation, which is in its draft stage, is designed to protect domestic manufacturing from cheap Chinese competition.
According to a joint Franco-German paper seen by the Guardian, the two countries are now proposing that for the car industry specifically the UK could be included in the "Made in Europe" scheme. @lisaocarroll reports

Predictably, Restore Britain is now seemingly growing week by week with no end in sight and Reform continues to collapse
It’s almost as if we’ve been saying the entire time that Restore is what the public ACTUALLY wants, and every % they gain and Reform loses makes every further gain even easier
The only obstacle, which is now being eroded day by day, was ‘splitting the vote’.
Huge Whitepill. Restore are cooking. Well done everyone involved!

Robert Jenrick reminds BBC Radio 4 of the paedophiles they’ve employed while they lecture Reform on vetting. 🔥
On this morning’s Today programme, Jenrick was pressed over the ITV undercover footage and Reform’s candidate checks.
His response was straightforward: there is only so far any organisation can go. You can examine someone’s social media, try to recover deleted posts, review their CV, and meet them in person, but you cannot run a completely foolproof process that rules out problems emerging later.
He then turned the point back on the BBC itself, asking whether it could guarantee no presenter would ever be exposed as a paedophile in the future, given that a number have been in the recent past.
Of course it can’t. The same limits that apply to political parties apply to everyone else, including the organisation currently doing the lecturing.
Great response @RobertJenrick 👏🏻
