INWED, delivered by the Women's Engineering Society, aims to celebrate the women who have paved the way for future generations and to highlight the wide range of pathways into engineering.
We've produced our own resources to illustrate the diverse routes into engineering, from primary school to post-16. Download a poster for your classroom - or request a printed copy - on our Outreach page:

It's #WorldEngineeringDay! We're getting ready for our biggest event of the year, the Select Partnership Scheme, where our students will meet with more than 50 engineering professionals - including some of our own graduates!
How are you celebrating?
We're thrilled to be back at @NorwichSciFest for Tech, Innovation & Engineering Day.
If you're at the festival, come and say hi at the #UEAEngineering stand!
#NSF24 DAY 3: Tech, Innovation & Engineering Day 👩💻⚙️ Thank you to our sponsors @ovamill. It's time to delve into the wonders of technology and engineering - from computer chips to buildings, in The Explorium @TheForumNorwich norwichsciencefestival.co.uk…
Just a few hours left to catch our interactive stand at #NSF24!
What you're looking at here is a giant model of a human bladder which visitors can pump up, demonstrating the importance of sensing, communication and decision making not only for humans but for robots too.

ALT A crowd of people gather around an interactive exhibition at Norwich Science Festival. The exhibition consists of a large, yellow model of a human bladder, which a child is inflating with a pump. Behind the model, projected on a screen are the words "Control in your body (sensing)" and the UEA logo. A UEA technician wearing a black shirt and red lanyard is talking to the crowd, gesturing with his hands.
This ties into ongoing research within the School of Engineering at UEA, working on bionic implants to help people regain bladder control.
