Bloomberg could not be more wrong. Data (on hhld income) says: ✔️Married moms: $133K ✔️Childless single women: $79K That’s a $54K gap. Marriage is not a path to poverty. It’s a path to prosperity.

Lifestyle creep is real. Personally know a number of folks from IB/PE hitting those numbers and yet feeling financially suffocated. Yeah sure you have the flashy guys who get all too caught up in the lifestyle that such salaries can buy you, but all too often, it comes from a detachment to money. When you're out of college and in your first year of IB, making 150k/yr, all your day to day essentials and mini-luxuries suddenly become affordable to you. That mentality sticks as you move up in paygrade. The long work hours means that you're inclined to throw any sort of money to buy convenience and this is usually comes in the form of renting expensive apartments near their workplace and throwing money at anything that gives you a sense of normalcy. I know this myself because there was a time where I (not in finance) would just head to this fancy sushi place regularly during the week and drop over $100 each time on a solo lunch. I didn't care too much for the food but it was the only place I could sit down for an hour by myself without seeing any crowds, having to queue up for food and being quiet enough that I could reply emails during lunch. When you get into that sort of mental state from long work hours, your judgement gets impaired and it's easy to snowball into very questionable financial decisions if you're hanging with the wrong crowd or dating the wrong types.
40% of workers earning over $300,000 say they're living paycheck to paycheck, per Goldman Sachs.

Are you this receptive to lists on what women need/should do or do those get met with rage and name calling?

JD Vance: "Some of America's most elite universities bring in foreigners to undercut the wages of American residents. There are 9 universities in particular that we believe merit an investigation. Those are Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Brown, the University of Pittsburg, UC Davis, Cal Tech, Arizona State, and MIT."

Some of them are people making 400k+ a year, sure, but the majority are people that bought homes they could afford 7+ years ago, accumulated equity, sold the home, and parlayed that equity into this $1.5M home. Their mortgage payment is not even close to what you think it is because they’re not borrowing what you think they are. That’s the game. Buy what you can afford now, get in the game, or the game will never start for you and you’ll be posting this again 7 years from now.

Pheonix is a crime against nature. Cities are not meant to be built in the middle of the fucking desert. They're meant to be on the coast or on a river.
