Berlin 1940/41 in color (HD) – Rare photographs of the imperial capital just restored These extraordinary color photographs show Berlin in 1940/41 in much better quality than previous publications. The film was shot by professional cameraman Frederick Fuglsang and documents the central locations of the then imperial capital – from the east-west axis to Alexanderplatz and Wannsee. Important: The text vignette "Reich Capital Berlin 1936" shown in the original film is historically incorrect. According to current classification, the recordings clearly date back to 1940/41. A key indicator of this is the absence of the 1936 Olympic flags, as well as numerous temporal features within the cityscapes. The speaker's individual expressions are also remarkable.
