Just in case you were wondering: WTF is an Encrypted Mempool, and why should you care?
We had the 11th Encrypt the Mempool Tech WG meeting last Wednesday. The thread below summarizes some of the key topics discussed 🧵👇
A link to the recording of the meeting is also attached for your convenience 🔗

3/ Other topics discussed include: Key validation and publisher accountability, top-of-block fee retention, and key message signing format.
Action items for contributors focused on reading the PR, leaving comments, and running it by their local CL developers.
4/ If you would like to join the coalition or find out more about the coalition, our next Tech WG call will be held on 11th November 2026. The meeting location and details will be shared on our X as it approaches.
See you all again next month for Encrypt the Mempool #12 👋

Welcome @Bookof_Eth to the coalition! 📖
The Book of Ethereum spreads the word of Ethereum, helping make technical information understandable.
We can Encrypt the Mempool, togETHer 🤝
We're proud to join the @encryptmempool Coalition 🔐
Alongside industry leaders, we're pushing to encrypt Ethereum's mempool in the next hardfork - ending sandwich attacks, frontrunning, and real-time censorship at the protocol level.
$1.8B+ drained from users since 2020. The mempool shouldn't be a hunting ground.

Encrypting the mempool mitigates toxic MEV.
Join us in 30 minutes to learn why 👇
🔐 Today: Mitigating MEV on Ethereum | X Livestream
Ethereum's public mempool has long created opportunities for front-running, sandwich attacks and other forms of harmful MEV.
Beyond the impact on users, these challenges also raise important questions around institutional adoption, trust and Ethereum's ability to support mainstream financial activity.
Today, STRATO joins @ethdaily ,@encryptmempool and @Bookof_Eth for a live discussion on these challenges and the work being done to address them.
🎙️ What we'll discuss:
• How MEV impacts Ethereum users and institutions
• The evolution of Ethereum's public mempool
• Why mitigating harmful MEV matters for adoption
• The goals of the Encrypt the Mempool Coalition
• Progress, challenges and next steps

Bringing encrypted mempools to Ethereum Mainnet is a collaborative effort across the ecosystem
Shutter is one of the contributors raising funds in @OctantApp Epoch 13 to advance work on encrypted mempools & private voting
Support Shutter & other privacy projects in the round👇
We've brought encrypted mempools to Gnosis Chain & protected over 372,000 votes across 881+ DAOs
Now we're working to bring encrypted mempools to Ethereum Mainnet & permanent private, verifiable voting to DAOs & real-world elections!

Recap from last call

Congrats to Aptos for the mainnet launch of their encrypted mempool
It's awesome to see chains adopting encrypted mempools, and Ethereum's is in progress! 💪
Encrypted Mempool is now LIVE on Aptos mainnet.
Users can opt in to keep pending transactions encrypted until their block is finalized, lowering the risk of MEV attacks.
→ Opt-in, one transaction at a time
→ The function called and its inputs stay encrypted until execution
→ Senders and fees remain visible
If encrypted mempools only offer temporary transaction privacy, then why are they important? A thread 🧵👇
1/ When an Ethereum transaction sits in the public mempool, it is visible to searchers who scan for MEV opportunities and submit transaction bundles to extract that value.
2/ A searcher can observe the transaction, simulate its execution against the current state, and submit competing transactions or manipulate ordering before the original transaction executes.
Encrypted mempools provide the privacy that closes this transaction visibility gap.
