If your phone gets stolen today, do you have everything you need to track it?
Whether you use an iPhone or Android, take 5 minutes to do these things NOW. You might thank yourself later.

Dial *#06# on your phone.
Youโll see a 15-digit IMEI number. Some phones have two.
Write it down somewhere outside your phone, and keep your receipt or proof of purchase too.
Your IMEI can help the police and your network provider identify your device if itโs stolen.
Go to Settings โ Your Name โ Find My โ Find My iPhone.
Turn on:
โข Find My iPhone
โข Find My network
โข Send Last Location
If your iPhone gets stolen, visit:
icloud.com/find
Sign in with your Apple Account to locate your phone or activate Lost Mode.
Go to Settings โ Google โ Find Hub.
Make sure device finding is enabled. Also turn on Location and check your offline finding settings.
If your phone gets stolen, visit:
android.com/find
Sign in with the Google Account linked to your phone.
You may be able to see its location, make it ring or secure it remotely.
Know which Apple or Google account is connected to your phone.
Make sure you can access it from another device.
If you use Google, you can generate backup verification codes and store them somewhere safe offline.
Imagine finding out you could track your stolen phone, but you canโt even log into the account.
Open the tracking website on another device and check if your phone appears.
Donโt wait until your phone goes missing before discovering you never enabled tracking.
Your IMEI doesnโt automatically let you track your phone online. Itโs useful information to provide to the police and your network provider.
And if you eventually locate a stolen phone, donโt try confronting the person yourself. Involve the police.
None of these guarantees youโll recover your phone, but they can improve your chances.
Save this and share it with someone. You never know when youโll need it.

One thing students seriously underuse is their student status.
People think the benefit ends at cheaper Spotify.
Meanwhile that same verification can unlock developer tools, cloud credits, paid courses, domains, software and professional plans that would normally cost hundreds of dollars.
Before paying for any tool while youโre still in school, literally search:
โ[tool name] student planโ
Youโll be surprised how often thereโs one.

Disclaimer: built for practical/testing purposes, not to cheat interviews.
I built Whisper without AI coding assistance
It listens to interview questions and answers in real time, usually in under a second.
It can handle coding questions too, and in my current tests itโs around 98% accurate.
The desktop overlay also stays out of screen capture, so screen sharing only shows whatโs behind it.
Built with:
Tauri + Rust
React + TypeScript + Vite
Local Whisper + Deepgram
Gemini + Groq
This thing is lowkey scary fast.

The solution to the problem of bandits
This is a small unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) that I built, and its size is no bigger than the palm of a hand
However, it can carry out surveillance
It has a small camera that can enter every corner and narrow passage to capture videos and photos without anyone knowing it has arrived.
After it captures photos or videos, those controlling it will be able to see them live
It will be very helpful in detecting forest bandits easily, especially for the military

I rejected a Backend candidate recently
Problem:
Implement middleware for your APIs to handle authentication and authorization.
Candidateโs answer:
โIโll create a middleware that checks the JWT token before the request reaches the API. If itโs valid, continue. Otherwise, return 401.โ
Sounds straightforward.
But then I asked:
User logs out, and the token is still valid for 12 minutes. What now?
Then silence....
What answer would you give to get selected?

Y'all Project managers better calm down with the type of features u add to a product cos it's gon' be affecting the devs
The main thing isn't about the number of features it's about how it works, ease of use,the quality of what u're building and whether it's a good problem solver.

Iโm launching miniStay โ bookministay.com
The idea is simple: why should you pay for a full night when you only need a room for a few hours?
Weโre building a marketplace that makes hotel & apartment stays more flexible across Africa โ by the hour, half-day, or overnight.
But great ideas only become real when people believe early enough to help build them.
Right now, funding is especially important to help us accelerate our hotels and apartments inventory, acquire early users, and get miniStay into the hands of the people who need it.
If youโre interested in funding, marketing, partnerships, or helping us onboard more properties and users, Iโd love to hear from you.
Smaller checks are absolutely welcome. Every bit of early support can help us move faster.
Letโs build something useful for Africa. ๐
