Can thermocatalysts be adapted to impart electrochemical reactivity? @js_zeng electrified thermochemical hydroformylation (HFN) catalysts to develop an electro-HFN system for industrial decarbonization, opening the design space for electrocatalysts. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jacā¦

Very happy to share a highlight of my PhD! As a design strategy for developing a new C-C bond forming electrocatalyst, we sequentially āelectrifiedā a thermochemical hydroformylation (HFN) catalyst to access analogous electrochemical reactivity. doi.org/10.1021/jacs.4c02992

āDissent must never lead to disorderā - President Biden.
From Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.ās āLetter From Birmingham Jail,ā written in 1963:
āI have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season."
Tune in as I deliver remarks. xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1lDxLPMPVā¦

We WON our union at Caltech! š Over 76% of graduate students (799/1045 voters) and 83% of postdocs (240/290 voters) voted yes.
This is the first time in academic labor history that grads and postdocs voted to unionize simultaneously.
Onward towards a better Caltech! šŖ
SO PROUD!!!

It's the water supply that 40 million Americans rely on, and a group of states has reached a temporary deal with the Biden administration on how to share it.
Whatās using all that water? Hint: Itās less about long showers and more about whatās for dinner. nyti.ms/3IwCBSS
