Solid start to the week with a 3R play off of Initial Resistance Intraday development was key today, as the STB was neutral ON session had a launching point off of yesterday's Bias Confirmation Support at 7672-75-7682.75, tested key resistance at 7762.75-7774.75 in an exhaustive manner, then pulled back into the ~38% to 50% retracement Premarket Support Area Session started off in a relatively consolidated manner and after the 1st hour range was established, there was a notable negative disconnect on the AD line as ES was beginning its RTH test of the Initial Resistance Zone This was no longer a "fresh" 1st test, so extra probability weights were needed to consider a short 1) AD negative disconnect as previously mentioned 2) Neutral/lack of upside momentum 3) NQ probing above its own Initial Resistance, but not showing any signs of upward continuation If the ON test didn't happen and this was the fresh 1st test, I would've listed my trade idea as "high probability" with the exhaustion, so I changed my setup to an "average" expectancy Stop: Behind the 50% extension of the 1st hour range to give the trade extra room to work out Targets: 1R scale ahead of the broken Premarket Resistance (also the 1st hour high) and all out on targets at the front of the Premarket Support Zone (all out before the 38% retracement of last night's major ON swing low) Idea was the HOD was likely in, but a reaction from Initial Resistance could at least begin consolidation between the PMS and IR zones 1R scale hit relatively and was able to go risk-free pretty quickly, making it much easier to hold my position until my final targets were reached Haven't journaled in awhile as I just got back into town and was excited to practice the @eminiplayer and @opentrader methodology for this fall season On to the next trade idea! #VulcanTrader #STBNeutral #ADDisconnect
