THE VERDICT IS IN: We hung our strike pledge throughout the office yesterday to make sure @law360 and @LexisNexis can’t ignore our intention to walk out on a ULP strike in September unless we can reach a fair contract.

Today, the @law360union presented Teresa Harmon, vice president for Legal News at @LexisNexis, with a vote of no confidence for her failures in leadership since she assumed her position late last year. More than 90% of the unit signed the statement. 🧵👇

Replying to @Law360
Law360 reporters and editors are on strike today to protest management's refusal bargain with us in good faith. They've had our proposals for a year and won't respond! Please don't cross the #clickitline and wait until tomorrow to read any Law360 content. #Law360walkout

Our union has had ENOUGH of @Law360 and @LexisNexis' stalling tactics at the bargaining table! So today we're rallying outside Lexis HQ in Manhattan to demand they STOP THE STALLING!!! xitter.cf/i/broadcasts/1BRJjPDeM…
I stand with my colleagues in urging @Law360 management to respond to the 10 outstanding proposals on the bargaining table because more than 300 days ago, we began bargaining and Law360 management has since ghosted us on sick leave, parental leave, paid time off and others.
I recently wrote about how the Biden admin's selective use of the high court's shadow docket to target issues like ghost guns and the Purdue BK, and its surprisingly good batting average, thanks @steve_vladeck @TimothyLytton & MC Sungaila for weighing in law360.com/articles/1709497
god what a dork
Amid the attacks on the 2023 SCOTUS term I started reading the significant decisions. Their substance is far more defensible than you'd think listening to Dem pols and progressive activists and journalists. Many prominent critiques were wildly misleading.

the awkward moment when your ceo sends a juneteenth celebration email, but @lexisnexis still hasn't acknowledged this request. we are proud of the company's dei partnerships (@nationalbar @BYPNetworkApp @bwise_bwiseusa), but it speaks volumes to actively exclude juneteenth.
#WhyNotJuneteenth? Law360 honors all federal holidays — except Juneteenth. Despite vocal pushback from more than 200 Law360 employees, our parent company, @LexisNexis, has refused to correct this moral policy failure. Here's what they've done instead🧵:
There's still time for @LexisNexis to do the right thing and honor Juneteenth #WhyNotJuneteenth
