More and more countries will become immigration beggars in the coming years. Some, like South Korea, already are. @m_clem has written a great paper on why human mobility is critical for South Korea -- and other countries facing demographic cliffs.
🚨 New @PIIE paper today!
South Korea is projected to hit *negative* sustained GDP growth around 2050.
A key reason: aging. Fertility just fell below 0.7 lifetime children (replacement = 2.1)
One clear, feasible policy decision can avert this. I have receipts.

Hoy hemos despedido a nuestro secretario, Adolfo González Jiménez, que lleva con nosotros desde 2009. Hemos tenido la oportunidad de homenajearlo en su pueblo, Prádena del Rincón, del que fue alcalde entre 1995 y 2003.
