what if you could vibe code hardware? just describe the device and the agent designs the schematic, routes the PCB, and explains every part

if you’re coming today, don’t forget to grab some Embedr merch + credits 👀
🚨: Calling BANGALORE HARDWARE FOLKS
We're hanging out this Sunday to take the Hard out of Hardware.
Join @CreativeGracey and me for a fun evening of meeting some of the coolest folks building even cooler things!
I am down to hearing pitches, helping you refine product and make meaningful connections.
Date: Sunday, 20 Sept
Venue: @innercircle_so
Time: 5PM (please be on time)
Link to register: aihardware.club/hang
Thank you @Bhoomiarora_ for setting this up.

Built this lil guy a while back (inspired by Embedr’s logo).
It reacts to your coding agents when they finish something or need permission, and you can flash this with your own firmware.
Kinda thinking of building 100 of these and just ship it to people on here for free.
Would you want one?

about that 1-click manufacture button... 👀
you can order bare-board PCBs directly inside Embedr.
PCBA coming next. @embedrapp

I just know this thing is gonna be big, keep it up man.
When I was into electronics fever, I was looking for something exactly like this.
You should focus on UGC, can be game changing.
and I am not sure how hard or feasible it is, but explore adding a 1 click buy/manufacture button also through third-party APIs
So everything is handled end-to-end: from idea to deign the PCB to ordering parts to final PCB delivery.

PCB layout lives natively inside @embedrapp
No KiCad required. Still fully KiCad-compatible if you ever want to open it there.

This is the first time OpenAI has talked about circuit board development.
It’s still unclear how much time it actually took, whether the results were correct, or if this was really done end-to-end autonomously.
At @embedrapp, we always knew frontier models would eventually have the knowledge to do this. It was always just a matter of time.
That’s why, when I was working on firmware generation last year, I realised the moat could never be just solving one part of the problem. The problem itself is being able to build electronics and physical products end-to-end.
That’s why we pivoted and built the full hardware engineering harness, from schematics + firmware to validation, PCB layouts, bring-up, mechanical designs, and eventually a working device.
I’m finalising our new app release as I write this.
I think this is going to democratise hardware development in ways that were never possible before.
Stay tuned!

built a similar 64-led chessboard PCB in @embedrapp with GPT-5.5, custom KiCad-compatible schematic + PCB tooling helps a lot here.

Built a simple Soil Moisture Sensor project using @embedrapp 🌱
It reads real time soil moisture levels and displays them on an OLED screen, making it easy to know when your plant needs water.

went to South Park Commons Curiosity event and it felt obvious:
india’s next breakout startups won’t just live in browsers.
they’ll have motors, boards, sensors, firmware, and smoke tests.
we’re building the dev layer for them: @embedrapp

Finally got to try @earthtojake’s CAD harness + skills with Codex. I needed a tripod neck collar adapter for Will Cogley’s robot head, so I gave Codex the skull frame CAD and pointed out where the part needed to fit.

I made this alphabetical project using @embedrapp 🥳
Building projects feels so easy now. Never thought I’d create something this cool on my own.
