In some ways, Republican devotion to the attorney general of Texas, Ken Paxton, is even more troubling than its continued support for Trump. Today at Trump National Doral Miami, we witnessed an unforgettable moment with the dedication of the 22-foot statue honoring President Donald J. Trump.
Let me be clear: this is not a golden calf. We worship the Lord Jesus Christ and Him alone.
This statue is a celebration of life. It is a symbol of resilience, freedom, patriotism, strength, and the will power to keep fighting for the future of America.
It also stands as a reminder of the hand of God and His protection over President Trump’s life. Time and time again, when his life was threatened, God’s mercy prevailed.
Today was not just a ribbon cutting. It was the public display of a powerful movement that has spread across America and around the world.
I was deeply honored to serve as President Trump’s main point of contact throughout this process, and I do not take that assignment lightly.

Can we just be honest? This isn’t about Trump hate or anti-Trumpism or whatever. Can we honestly say that this is the mark of a good leader? Is this the profile of a person that will lead people well? If you voted for him are you looking at this thinking it’s of no consequence?

BREAKING: At his cabinet meeting, Trump just bragged about how hard the mathematical equations of his cognitive test that he passed were.
FACT: The hardest mathematical equation on such a test is referred to as the “Serial 7s” Test:
You start at 100 and keep subtracting 7, out loud:
100 → 93 → 86 → 79 → 72 → 65 → 58 →
This is literally what he’s bragging about. My seven-year-old could do this.

Donald Trump was able to use evangelicals and to get them to betray every value they had once claimed to stand for, because as Mark Noll once observed: "the scandal of the evangelical mind is that there is not much of an evangelical mind."
Evangelicalism had time to change course, to develop a more robust and serious intellectual tradition, but instead it turned further to one-dimensional hermeneutics as made concrete by the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy, young-earth creationism, nationalism, and rapture eschatology.
One of the best examples of this is the pro-life movement. What should have been fleshed out as a broader care for all life, including care for the poor, respect for the elderly and those with disabilities, and environmentalism (as is done in Catholicism and JP2's Theology of the Body), became a narrow political wedge issue that lacked any actual theological discourse or philosophical structure.
