OK this is all very smart from JetBrains Most agentic harnesses are single player, not for teams or EMs or regulated industries etc It's still a long game, especially with a co that's built up strong relationships for 20+ years xitter.cf/kskrygan/status/210786…

We've reimagined JetBrains IDEs to become the ultimate agentic workbench. Air is an open hub for agents inside your IDE: -Any agents to run (Claude, Codex & many more) -Agents are more efficient with IDE intelligence -Free Junie Lite agent bundled -Cloud runs via Air Teams ⬇️

The part I'd defend hardest is the part that isn't about us. This market is not consolidating on one model, one agent or one vendor. Companies are already running several, and they are right to. What @jetbrains is building is the layer that sits above all of them

Excited to announce two incredible speakers from @jetbrains joining us at The AI Rabbit Hole 2026! We're thrilled to welcome @oleg_koverznev, VP & Head of Agent Systems, and @elsegreen_ , VP of Strategy — both bringing the JetBrains perspective to one of the most forward-thinking AI stages in San Francisco. JetBrains has long been at the forefront of developer tooling, and with AI reshaping how we build software, there's no better time to hear from the people driving that evolution from the inside. 🗓 June 5th, 2026 📍 Treasure Island, San Francisco Alongside 30+ speakers from Anthropic, Stanford, Google, and beyond — this is shaping up to be an unmissable day for founders, builders, investors, and researchers. hashtag#AIRabbitHole2026 hashtag#JetBrains hashtag#AIConference

Good upfront specs = outputs matching the intent
New course: Spec-Driven Development with Coding Agents, built in partnership with @jetbrains, and taught by @paulweveritt. Vibe coding is fast, but often produces code that doesn't match what you asked for. This short course teaches you spec-driven development: write a detailed spec defining what to build, and work with your coding agent to implement it. Many of the best developers already build this way. A spec lets you control large code changes with a few words, preserve context across agent sessions, and stay in control as your project grows in complexity. Skills you'll gain: - Write a detailed specification to define your mission, tech stack, and roadmap, giving your agent the context it needs from the start - Plan, implement, and validate features in iterative loops using a spec as your agent's guide - Apply the same repeatable workflow to both new and legacy codebases - Package your workflow into a portable agent skill that works across agents and IDEs Join and write specs that keep your coding agent on track! deeplearning.ai/short-course…

We believe that the value AI brings depends on the job, the codebase, and your workflow. That's why choice matters, and we we’re committed to keeping it in developers’ hands
Codex now runs inside @jetbrains IDEs Plan, write, test, review, and ship code without leaving your code editor Starting today, you can use Codex with your ChatGPT plan in IntelliJ, PyCharm, WebStorm, and Rider, powered by GPT-5.2 Codex

Integrating the agent you want into the IDE you love should be effortless. That’s why we've partnered with @zeddotdev to create the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). The first implementation is included in the 2025.3 JetBrains IDEs release. Read more in our blog: blog.jetbrains.com/ai/2025/1…

Beautiful documentary by @CultRepo. Super proud of @pycharm team to contribute to it! Thrilling story of #Python, today's the most in-demand programming language fueled by ML and AI
The story of #Python is a story of innovation, collaboration, and community. Watch “Python: The Documentary” – featuring Guido van Rossum, Paul Everitt, and other pioneers – to learn how the language grew from a small idea to a global phenomenon. Created with the proud support of @PyCharm. 🔗 jb.gg/py-doc 🔗

I'm continuing to experiment with @MistralAI Devstral by integrating it directly into JetBrains AI Chat via LM Studio and it's honestly amazing to have such a powerful LLM running locally. I'll be testing it at work tomorrow on more challenging issues.

As a follow up to our work on applying search to software engineering agents, today we are releasing datasets of problem instances and agent trajectories. This is the training data we previously used to achieve 40.6% on SWE-bench Verified using open-weight models only! 🧵⬇️
