A really interesting stat from this year's postseason games...
Collectively, teams which have 𝘄𝗼𝗻 have had 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 opportunities with RISP than teams which have lost.
WINNING TEAMS

Yeah, having a billion dollar payroll with stars at every position must be really difficult to manage.

There have been many lows in the history of the Arizona Cardinals, but I don’t know if they’ve ever been lower.

They didn’t want to invest in their investment
When Marvin Harrison Jr. arrived in Arizona, he had one request: A Seeker machine, which runs $50k. The organization declined.
It proved to be a small but revealing moment. A full look at why this relationship failed and where it leaves the Cardinals:

Someone asked me today what’s the low point for this franchise?
My answer was— fans and our city have been living the low point for a while now.
When I got here, my first assignment at a Cardinals game covering a fan wedding on the great lawn. I always enjoyed seeing the same fans and families at home games, out in the community and at road games.
This is my experience. Many of those same fans either sell their tickets, don’t go to games or don’t have tickets anymore. Those that still do — tell me many of the fans around them have turned over. Protect the nest is long gone… and you don’t see the same people in the same sections anymore.
7 winning seasons since 1988.
1 in the past decade.
It sucks. Our city and the great people in this fanbase deserves better.

He’s 100% correct btw.
The Dodgers paid Tucker/Diaz $50M for like a combined 1.3 fWAR
They paid Glasnow & Snell a combined $66M for just over 100 innings combined.
The Brewers have to maximize every piece of their org and win 103, the Dodgers can throw away millions essentially and win 100 games.
Thats the difference.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy says Milwaukee doesn’t have as much cushion as the Dodgers through the course of a season:
“We don’t have the luxury of maybe you have a guy that hadn’t pitched much and he’s going to make his debut in August. He’s a $30 million 2-time Cy Young winner or something like that. So we’re more desperate to play every single game.”
