BIG NEWS: SpaceX has given me approval to fly their locations and bring updates to their locations without TFRs! Thank you Brian, James, and SpaceX Security for helping set up this program. It really means a lot to me. You guys rock! SPACEX: For my first flight I went to the Starlink / Starmind Campus in Bastrop, Texas. There is a ton of work taking place. Here is a list of the build sites currently underway. - Solar Ingots and Wafers Facility: This is for upstream silicon production for ingots and wafers that feed solar cell manufacturing. SpaceX is well into the groundworks as they clear and level a massive plot next to the Solar Cell Factory. They will both eventually be connected. - Solar Cells Factory: This is a ~1.1–1.5 million sq ft multi-floor structure currently under construction south of the main Starlink plant. It is designed for high-volume solar cell output with a target ~10 GW/year. Much of the outer walls, windows, and roof is installed. - Starlink Factory: This is the OG building that has undergone multiple expansions. It houses high-volume Starlink kit production, printed circuit boards, and semiconductor packaging. - Warehouse and AI Satellite Development Facility: It is described in conceptual layouts for storage, AI satellite R&D, and related operations. This building has gone up super fast. It started months after the Solar Cells Factory and is now well beyond it. - Starmind / AI Satellite Production Factory: This area is still grass with a small section near the highway now be cleared and leveled. It will be the large-scale Starmind satellite manufacturing building. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments. Subscriber Photo-thread and Support links in the thread. Thanks for watching!

TERAFAB: According to reports, Tesla and SpaceX are in talks with 10 South Korean semiconductor suppliers with half already under NDAs. Discussions have covered materials, process equipment, piping and valves, testing components, cleaning services, and related items. At SEMICON West in San Francisco, Terafab representatives visited booths of companies including ENF Technology, Dongjin Semichem, Asflow, BMT, GnG Intech, Unisem, MiCo, and Hanmi Semiconductor. Most firms are existing Tesla or SpaceX suppliers; former Intel and GlobalFoundries personnel have also helped bring in contacts. Global equipment makers such as Lam Research and Applied Materials are also understood to have dedicated Terafab teams, and Fujifilm has held regular meetings on CMP slurries and other chemicals. TESLA: Bulgaria’s Ministry of Energy announced the groundbreaking of the Battery Park – Tvarditsa in southeastern Bulgaria. Energy Minister Iva Petrova and Prime Minister Rumen Radev attended. The project is a 300 MWh system with up to 5 hours of storage duration, using 80 Megapack 2XLs. It is the first of three investments in a program worth over €350 million with a combined planned capacity exceeding 2,300 MWh, developed in partnership with Asarel-Trade, Power Profit, and Tesla. Commissioning is targeted for the second quarter of 2027. Per Minister Petrova, "We will make every effort to maintain our strategic advantage through an adequate regulatory framework that supports investments in storage, batteries, PSHPPs and new energy capacities." TESLA: Ørsted announced that construction of its first large-scale battery energy storage system, named Iceni, is complete and the system has entered the testing phase. The 300 MW / 600 MWh system consists of 170 Tesla Megapack 2XLs installed alongside the onshore converter station for the 2.9 GW Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm near Norfolk, UK. Capacity is equivalent to the daily electricity use of about 80,000 UK homes. The project, delivered with Hitachi Energy, Knights Brown, and Tesla, shares a National Grid connection point with Hornsea 3—one of the first large-scale co-located setups of this type. The Boring Company's airport tunnel looks good to go!
UPDATE BORING COMPANY Las Vegas Loop Westgate airport tunnel. This looks completely finished. No one working on any construction here. The Loop is running today but this tunnel is not being used. My guess is they are waiting to finish the new underground area of the Central Station which is now a parking lot again. I won’t report on this station again until the tunnel to the airport opens. @SERobinsonJr

Elon Musk said the following about Starbase Louisiana... "That’s going to be an incredible asset to the country and to the world that will, I think at some point, probably have on the order of 20 or more launch towers and enable the transport of millions of tons per year to orbit and beyond. So that’s really going to be a big deal..."

In the debut episode of Walter Isaacson’s (@WalterIsaacson) podcast The Builders, Elon Musk (@elonmusk) said he sees some chance AI is an existential threat but cannot stop it, so he chose to participate rather than watch in hopes of steering it safely through curiosity and maximal truth-seeking. He warned that forcing an AI to hold contradictory beliefs can make it insane, citing HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey, and argued a curious AI would help humanity thrive because a multiplanetary future is more interesting. Elon called reality an "irony maximizer," noting efforts to slow AI (OpenAI, then Anthropic) accelerated it, said xAI is supplying Anthropic with needed compute after meeting its staff, and recommended weekly frontier-lab calls plus pre-release model access for competitors. He reflected that DOGE showed the national debt cannot be cut from inside government and that only AI and robots can solve it; he stayed too long in the role and wished he had returned to AI sooner. He said physical AI and robots will matter far more than chatbots, money may shift toward physics-based units like energy and mass, humans may not stay in control of superintelligence, and most of his wealth will go to a foundation advancing multiplanetary life, consciousness among the stars, and sustainable energy.
