Yesterday, I was on a WhatsApp call with one of my classmates when our conversation suddenly took a turn I never expected.
She is one of the most beautiful girls I know.
She is intelligent, hardworking, and successful. Her job pays her millions, she dresses well, takes care of herself, and from the outside, her life looks almost perfect.
If you saw her pictures on social media, you would probably think, “This girl has no problem in this life.”
But yesterday, while we were talking, she suddenly became quiet.
At first, I thought the network had gone bad.
“Hello? Are you there?” I asked.
She didn't answer.
Then I heard her breathing heavily.
A few seconds later, she started crying.
I was shocked.
“What's wrong with you?” I asked her.
She wiped her tears and tried to laugh it off.
“Nothing.”
But I knew there was something.
After I kept asking, she finally opened up.
She told me that despite being beautiful and financially successful, she was deeply unhappy about her love life.
According to her, she had dated several men, hoping that at least one of them would genuinely love her.
But each relationship ended the same way.
They came with sweet words.
They called her beautiful.
They promised her the world.
They made her feel special.
But eventually, she discovered that what they really wanted was her money.
One boyfriend needed money for a business.
Another had a family emergency every other week.
Another convinced her to invest in something that eventually disappeared.
Another simply kept borrowing until she realized she was no longer being loved—she was being used.
She said she eventually became afraid of falling in love.
But even after everything she had experienced, she still wanted one thing.
A man who would genuinely love her.
Not her salary.
Not her beauty.
Not what she could provide.
Just her.
Then she told me something that broke my heart.
She said that the only serious offers she was currently receiving were from married men.
Men who already had wives were approaching her and asking her to become their second wife.
One of them had even told her he could “take very good care of her.”
Another promised to give her a comfortable life.
But she didn't want another man's money.
She wanted her own home.
Her own husband.
Someone who would choose her without already belonging to someone else.
As she continued talking, the tears wouldn't stop.
And honestly, I didn't know what to say.
Because looking at her life from the outside, I would have thought she had everything.
Beauty.
Money.
A good job.
Confidence.
Independence.
But that conversation taught me something.
Sometimes, the person everyone thinks has no problems may be carrying a burden nobody knows about.
I looked at her through the phone and simply told her:
“You don't have any problem.”
She looked at me through her tears.
I continued:
“You're not cursed. You're not unlucky. And there's nothing wrong with you because the wrong men found you.
Maybe you've just been meeting people who were attracted to what you could give them instead of who you truly are.
Don't let their behavior convince you that you're difficult to love.
One day, someone may come into your life who won't see your millions first.
He'll see you.
And until that person comes, don't allow loneliness to make you accept a situation that will steal your peace.”
She became quiet.
Then she smiled through her tears.
And that was when I realized something:
Sometimes, the richest person in the room can still be desperately searching for something money cannot buy.
Love.

Why do you have your trousers above your waist ehn?
Same way many SaaS founders put everything on their landing page… except the thing that actually makes people buy.
I designed a SaaS landing page recently, and it reminded me of something simple that’s often misunderstood.
A landing page is not your web app homepage.
Your web app homepage is for users who already signed up. It helps them navigate, manage tasks, explore features.
Your landing page? That one has a job.
To sell.
To convince.
To move someone from “I’m just checking” to “I need this.”
But what do most people do?
They overload it with features.
They explain everything.
They design for themselves instead of the user’s decision moment.
And then wonder why conversions are low.
When I approached this design, I stripped it down to intent.
Clear value upfront.
A direction that guides the eye without confusion.
Sections that answer questions before they are even asked.
And a flow that builds trust before asking for action.
Because a good landing page doesn’t just look nice…
It removes doubt.
It makes the decision feel easy.
It quietly says, “this is for you.”
If your landing page feels like your dashboard, you’re not selling, you’re just decorating.
And users don’t pay for decoration.
They pay for clarity.

Let me tell you a little about myself.
I did not start in tech. My background is in Microbiology. Yes, science. No code, no dashboards, no SQL. Just petri dishes and lab reports.
But at some point I realized I wanted MORE. I wanted a career that gave me flexibility, income, and impact. So I made a decision to pivot into data analytics and I have never looked back.
Today I am a Senior Data Analyst. I consult for businesses. I teach data analytics. I have built a community of over 4,000 people across Africa who are learning, growing, and getting hired in tech.
And the one question I get asked more than anything else?
“Annie, HOW do I actually land a job in Tech?”
So this Friday, I am answering that question FULLY in a live webinar.
I am going to walk you through:
1. What skills actually matter to employers right now
2. How to build a portfolio that gets you noticed
3. How to position yourself even if you have zero experience
4. The mistakes that are quietly killing your job search
5. And exactly what to do THIS WEEK to start getting results
This webinar is for you if:
✅ You are a beginner who wants to enter into Tech,
✅ You have been learning but cannot seem to land interviews
✅ You are switching careers and feel lost
✅ You are tired of applying and hearing nothing back.
