A noticeable drop in footfall in Dublin city centre since the pedestrianisation trials finished at the end of August. Both Henry St & Grafton St have seen a decline. A real pity these didn’t continue through September and weren’t expanded to other areas.

"Nobody cycles in winter - all this cycling infrastructure will be such a waste and nobody will use it come November."

Christmas is just around the corner, and this year's SWARCO Christmas symbol masks show this for the first time. They will soon be installed in Sweden and will also create a pre-Christmas atmosphere in road traffic. Merry Christmas to all road users!

Just coming home along N11 & thought these figures were interesting.
Could you imagine the added congestion if the city had 811 more cars in it today? And that is just the reading on the N11.

Almost 500 people had cycled past this cycle counter on the N11 @ucddublin by 9am this morning.
That's 494 people not bringing gas-guzzling, air-polluting, space-occupying motor vehicles into Dublin City everyday. Thanks folks! 🤗
