Is a sentence with the words "should have the LEAST right to publish illegal and TOS-violating content" in it ever correct?
It really really is messed up. Public figures should have the LEAST right to publish illegal and TOS-violating content b/c it spreads the farthest and fastest.

Unvaccinated Covid patients were the reason I had to wait 3 days to get my gallbladder removed even though it was an emergency. My doctor spent those 3 days calling hospital after hospital desperately trying to get me in. I was in the worst pain of my life. Get fucking vaccinated

I still think about this a lot.
Someone told me awhile ago that we'd have a national open access law when open access has its 9/11. I was thinking this morning about the Gilead patent on remdesivir, and I got to thinking that this moment in history might be open access 9/11.
A weird thing about patriotic songs is that they always have a part where the guy looks all angry and accusatory at the flag. If I were the flag I'd be like "I thought we were friends. :("

I think a lot about the fact that Elvira and Pee Wee were workshopped in the same Groundlings team.

When you flip the vote at night it makes it cooler.
How it started: "Mike Lindell meets Alabama secretary of state for discussion on 2020 election” yahoo.com/now/mike-lindell-m… How it’s going: "Secretary of State disputes MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s claims Alabama had 100,000 ‘flipped’ votes” al.com/news/2021/09/secretar…
Was Book It combined with Accelerated Reader everywhere? I hated Accelerated Reader as a kid but I loved pizza.

I had no idea. I've always toyed with the idea of starting a small 78 collection, but after reading this, the idea stresses me out.
You take for granted that all records made after 1949 on vinyl all can use the same needle. When you get into 78s there wasn't a standardized groove width (the actual size of the groove on the record) so you gotta have different sizes for different labels.

I know that Internet Archive uses multiple styli for every rip. I assume it must use machine learning to decide which version is the best. Hiring an old collector to do that would be hecka expensive. cc @textfiles @xor @78_sampler

We should start using superscript for ᵂhite to balance out the people who insist on capitalizing it.

I kept misreading this as "covid and flu."
