Today, we’re launching @deel Founder Hours.
1-on-1 sessions with our exec team to help founders tackle the problems you can’t Google (ask Chatgpt?).
As you scale, the hardest decisions don’t come with playbooks. They come from people who’ve been there.
Deel is now 7,000+ people, 15+ products, and $1B+ in revenue - but none of that happened alone. We leaned heavily on founders, operators, and investors who gave us their time and hard-earned lessons.
Now it’s time to give back!
Twice a year, Deel execs (COO, CTO, CRO, and more) will spend a full day talking directly with founders ~10–20 deep, honest conversations.
No pitches. Just real problems, real stories, and practical advice.
I’m kicking it off and hosting the first Founder Hours on Jan 5.

TL;DR Windsurf in particular is absolutely astonishing.
It genuinely one-shots features that would take me 3 days to build.

You can have the AI generate a recipe based on vague ideas, lists of ingredients or very specific recipes you already have.
You can snap a photo of a recipe from a book or even handwritten notes, and it will import it for you.
If you're logged in, you can edit your recipes "Make it spicier" or "Adjust quantities for 12 people".
If you click into a recipe, it will read the recipe out loud.
Next step is adding a fully interactive voice agent so you can ask questions about your recipes ("I don't have cumin - what else could I use") and navigate through the recipe without touching your screen. Helpful when your hands are covered in food!
I will write up a full blog post next week about how I built it and my reflections on the current state of Lovable/Cursor/Windsurf after being a heavy user.

It took me about 20 hours over the last 2 weeks. I wrote zero lines of code.
