We’re hosting Demo Night with @UseCorgi as part of Tech Week and bringing together founders, builders, investors, and anyone curious about what’s being built next.
Join us on Wednesday, October 7 at 7:00 PM in San Francisco for:
• Live startup pitches and product demos (ft. Infragrid)
• 3-minute founder demo slots
• Pizza, drinks, and informal networking
• A chance to meet potential collaborators, teammates, and investors
Whether you’re launching a company, looking for your next project, or simply want to see new products up close, come spend the evening with the SF tech community.
Demo slots are limited, so founders interested in pitching should mention it when they RSVP.

I need a hardcore engineer (must be a killer) in SF, London, or NYC for a very special project @ Corgi that could create billions in value. DM me if this might be you.

Corgi always throws the best startup school afterparty / hackathon.
This weekend, Corgi HQ turned into hackathon central!
1,000 participants. 250+ teams. We hosted a YC Startup School after-hackathon with @merge_api, @vercel, @PhotonHQ , and @Fondocom — 12 hours of building around one theme: "make it feel human." The energy (and talent) in the room was incredible.
Our top 3 winners, who split $1,000+ in prizes:
🥇 Atlas — Mithun Mahesh & Jasmine Yip. A second-brain life map that reads your Gmail, Calendar, and Drive and turns them into the people, places, and projects that matter — helping you remember, reconnect, and follow through on ideas. Built using the Merge Agent Handler to pull data across Gmail, Calendar, and Drive, then the Merge Gateway to reason over it with an LLM and cluster everything into life themes.
🥈 Golden Retriever — Andrew Wang, Jerry Li, Ryker Kollmyer & Tarun Malarvasan. An AI companion inspired by a team member's uncle, who lives with paralysis and needs help with everyday tasks. Golden Retriever acts as an on-call assistant — reaching, retrieving, and adapting to how someone moves through their day. They used Merge as their LLM router to understand and respond to natural language the way a person would.
🥉Hacker House — Saahith Veeramaneni, Karthik Sabhanayakam & Paul Lacarriere. Coding is inherently anti-social, and the loneliest moment is the wait — staring at a spinner while your AI agent works. Hacker House reframes that wait as social time: a multiplayer app that places builders in a shared Lounge while their agents run, with the option to retreat to a private, lockable Room where others can watch your terminal live but never interact with it.
Huge thanks to @merge_api, @vercel, & @PhotonHQ for powering the tools these teams built on, and to everyone who came out to build, mentor, and cheer each other on.

In other words: people on Twitter need to shake their ass more but no one wants to do that because everyone wants to look smart and they fail to see that the ability to shake your ass in front of people is actually the highest form of freedom (what everyone here claims to value)

the best people i know have one thing in common: they don’t go to these events.
here’s how i met them.
1) i was chronically online while building shit at college. i dm’d brilliant guy working on a product i used. he responded.
2) got internship with guy and turned it into a full time job. grinded my ass off in Lake Tahoe for a year. no one knew me.
3) applied to thrive on a whim. told my story about startups and tahoe.
4) managed to be accepted to thrive fellowship. they gave me full time offer
5) thrive and nyc friends introduced me to tons of incredible people. these people introduced me to others and now things have snowballed
i grew up in cleveland, went to boston college, and then lived in lake tahoe, nevada.
none of those places have real tech scenes.
follow your own path, do right by others, relentlessly chase after your passions, and when opportunities present themselves — deliver.
networking as activity is mostly cope.
e.g. the conference circuit, the warm intros, the moving to sf discussions or whatever, oh & the “grabbing coffee” economy.. all of this is overwhelmingly negative selection esp with vc (lol). the ppl worth knowing are usually too busy doing the thing to be farmable, & the ppl available to be networked w/ are available cuz they have literally nothing better going on.
do the work, then publish it loudly enough that the right ppl can find you w/o you having to chase. one way broadcast > two way schmoozing. this is why x matters a ton now more than ever before.
