I've been working on a cool little #ClojureScript app for a month or two now, and it's finally ready for an initial release. Check it out here: vlojure.io
Basically, it's a visual interface for writing an evaluating ClojureScript.

Here goes nothin...
(Super nervous to write this tweet, haha).
I have minted my @SuperRare genesis piece "Both Be Both". 🙌🙌🙌

“Alt Intelligence”, and why it is not (yet) Artificial General Intelligence, with thoughts on @NandoDF @DeepMind’s “it’s all about scale” thread: garymarcus.substack.com/p/th…
#AI #deeplearning
Someone’s opinion article. My opinion: It’s all about scale now! The Game is Over! It’s about making these models bigger, safer, compute efficient, faster at sampling, smarter memory, more modalities, INNOVATIVE DATA, on/offline, … 1/N thenextweb.com/news/deepmind…
New post: ellahoeppner.substack.com/p/…
The previous posts were mainly preamble for this one, in which I start to really get into the heart of my theory, and give a formal description of my model of intelligent thought.
Determinism-based free will denial is just a relic of dualistic thinking imo. It's like saying "I didn't make that decision, my atoms did". You are your atoms!
New Formalizing Popperian Epistemology post: "Inference and Universality" ellahoeppner.substack.com/p/…
In this post I introduce a very broad mathematical formalism for inferential reasoning, and explore what computational universality looks like under this formalism.
Starting a new blog series called "Formalizing Popperian Epistemology". Here's the first post: ellahoeppner.substack.com/p/…
Over the past few years I've been refining a formal model of AGI that coheres with Popperian epistemology, and this series will give an overview of that model.

Unmodified humans went obsolete with the development of tools and agriculture, and more so with the development of writing and education; they all count as human-enhancement technology so it is extremely unclear to me how we are all not considered transhumanists.
I decided to make a new account for my gen art stuff, since I feel like most people following on this account are probably following for other reasons and I don't want to spam them with stuff they don't care about 😅. So if you wanna see my gen art stuff, follow this new account!
I just released my first #generative token on #fxhash, called "Smokey Cells": fxhash.xyz/generative/9956. Here are a couple of variations

It's amazing what you can do with just voronoi diagrams and a bunch of sin waves #generativeart

I've been working on #genuary2022 day 6, inspired by
@ella_hoeppner's
work on the General Smoke Algorithm. The results are just beautiful.
There's a lot I'd like to explore with this, more to come.
Super cool. I guess this means there's no possible universal constructor in Conway's game of Life
A 50-year-old mystery in Conway's Game of Life has just been solved. A pattern has been discovered that cannot be generated by anything except for itself -- there's no way to procedurally build it within the ruleset.

Replying to @ella_hoeppner
Oh nvm the pattern is finite! That's even more impressive 🤯
So the finite pattern in that screenshot can never be constructed by anything but itself regardless of grid size. They actually mention that this rules out a universal constructor in the post.
