Honest Reporting Canada The anti-Israel film NAZA, which claims to rely on anonymous Israeli officials in alleging war crimes in Gaza, continues to receive sympathetic and entirely uncritical coverage in the Canadian news media. In his October 2 opinion column in La Presse, “The courage to speak out against atrocities,” Marc Cassivi lavishes praise on the film’s creators, beginning by stating that it won a prize at the Venice Film Festival, though the backlash in Israel suggests that it was “not particularly perceived as an honour” there. Cassivi – a film critic – does not note that winning a film festival award is no indication of accuracy or moral integrity, given that the Nazi propaganda movie Triumph of the Will won such an award in Venice in 1935. He writes that the film “exposes the horror of the modus operandi of the massacres of the civilian population in Gaza by the Israeli army,” at no time even addressing the potential that the film’s contentions are inaccurate, and instead treating them as credible and accurate, despite a thorough debunking of its allegations by the Israeli military. Perhaps the most obscene statement by Cassivi is when he claimed that the “parallels are inevitable between the Holocaust and what a UN commission of inquiry called a genocide in Gaza.” In fact, there are no such parallels. The Holocaust was a deliberate attempt to exterminate a people, and managed to kill the vast majority of Jews in most European countries. In extreme contrast, in Gaza, some 98 percent of civilians survived two years of intense urban combat, all the more notable given that Palestinian terrorists actively used their own populations as human shields. And while a UN commission did make outlandish genocide claims, that hardly makes them credible, given that scores of experts say precisely the opposite. Days after Cassivi’s column, more than 75 retired military leaders from the United States signed an open letter rejecting the “genocide” slur from Gaza.

A welcome opportunity to counter world leaders' outrageous lies with @UNWatch. Those who abuse the UN to promote falsehoods about Israel and subvert international law must be held to account.

For three years the word “occupation” has been treated as settled law instead of what it actually is, a political weapon with a prefix that only ever gets attached to Israel. @HausdorffMedia sits down on @triggerpod and does the thing almost nobody in Western media will do. She applies the same rule the world applies everywhere else. Uti possidetis juris. When a state is born and there is no agreed partition, the pre-existing administrative lines become the borders. Latin America after Spain. Africa and Asia after the empires. Ukraine after the Soviet collapse. That is why Russia in Crimea is called an occupier. Crimea was inside Ukraine’s lines at independence. In 1948 those lines for Israel were the British Mandate. The West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza sat inside them. Jordan and Egypt then seized that land in a war meant to kill the state at birth. In 1967 Israel took it back. You do not occupy what was already yours. If Ukraine walked back into Crimea tomorrow, nobody serious would call that an occupation. Israel later put a temporary administrative frame over Judea and Samaria because it was still playing land for peace and thought Jordan might take the West Bank. Jordan signed peace in 1994 and wanted nothing to do with it. Oslo created Areas A, B, and C. None of that turns a recovered Mandate territory into someone else’s country by slogan. “Illegal occupation” is not a category the Geneva Conventions run around the planet applying to Northern Cyprus or Nagorno-Karabakh or the other real occupations. It is a blood label reserved for one state, and it was designed to make diplomacy and campuses and courtrooms start from a lie. She says the consequences of that lie include October 7. Watch the whole clip. Then try saying “illegal occupation” again as if it were a fact instead of a campaign.

Addressing the diplomatic row over Area E1 and the proposed UK trade ban with areas of Israeli settlement in disputed territories, Jerusalem and Judea and Sameria/West Bank, with David Ross. The deeply concerning rhetoric from UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband MP misstates international law, ignores the UK’s real international law obligations and its responsibilities under trade agreements and falls foul of UK-endorsed international agreements, including the Oslo Accords. It also misrepresents the factual position I witnessed on the ground last week.

On the Mike Graham Show with @Iromg, discussing the foreign secretary’s latest false allegations against the Jewish State and the Jew-hatred driving them. @Ed_Miliband 's disgraceful remarks display an astonishing ignorance and imperviousness to the facts and distract from the real crimes here by Hamas.

"This is an irrational action... if the UK is really interested in dealing with issues they feel like are wrong, where are the sanctions against North Korea, China, Russia?" US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, who has accused the UK government and Ed Miliband of 'Jew hate ', speaks to @annaefoster about the plan to sanction goods and services from Judea & Samaria settlements.

The amazing @lalshareef explains how Israel removed Jews from Gaza in 2005 to get peace, leaving behind greenhouses worth millions of dollars. The Palestinians looted the greenhouses, and Gaza was turned into a terror fortress. This must go viral.

🇮🇱 The “Nakba” Lie 🤥 Yesterday, the Arabs wrongly called “Palestinians” commemorate 78 years since the failed attempt to destroy the newly born State of Israel. Despite being the overwhelming majority, with 110 million people against only 650,000 Jews, they could not defeat them or achieve their goal of expelling them, or, as Arab leaders openly said at the time, “throwing them into the sea.” This lie 🤥 has been disguised to sell the story of eternal victims, the so-called “eternal refugees” of UNRWA, when in reality many of them left by their own choice to neighboring Arab countries, expecting a victory by the Arab Legion over Israel, something that never happened. Israel survived and defeated the five Arab armies and the two Muslim terrorist militias. In the video, we see the proclamation of the independence of the State of Israel. The very next day, it was invaded by Arab forces that came to destroy it. Against all odds, the Jewish State survived and moved forward. H/T Israel sector infomativo

Find me a man in human history that has displayed more duplicity, deception and cunning than the Egyptian terrorist who claimed a land that was never his. He claimed to want peace while sending his men to blow up Jewish children in pizza shops.
