We've all had a funny/awkward conversation in an Uber before. @juanctoribio brought up an incredible question: What do MLB players say when asked by an Uber driver what they do for a living? So, we asked the Guardians. The answers did not disappoint. mlb.com/news/guardians-playe…

The Palestinians rejected their own state on the following occasions: 1. The 1937 Peal commission proposal 2. The 1947 UN Partition plan 3. The 1967 aftermath of the Six Day War 4. The 2000 Camp David Summit. 5. The 2008 Peace Proposal with Ehud Olmert Additionally, in 1993 they rejected the Oslo accord peace process by continuing terror attacks. Even Donald Trump negotiated a pretty compelling Palestinian state proposal with very interesting economic incentives in 2020. The constant theme through all of this is a rejection of an autonomous state is the fever dream of Israel stopping existing and Palestinians taking it back. The most fundamental tenet of peace is both sides have to desire it. Israel is willing to come to the table. Why won’t the Palestinians?

I used to have a lot of respect for Automattic. What a horrible experience and I regret ever thinking that was the better and easier approach. Will never use Wordpress.com again and now will work to remove any contents and domains from their site.

. @_PeteSmith_ I’ve been fascinated by the Lamar Jackson situation and surprised CLE press aren’t talking about this more. Granted Watson needs to perform, but if we get a franchise QB & completely screw up division rival cause of the contract @ same time, what a strategic coup!

George Will’s article this morning was a mess. He rambled from banking to climate change to COVID response, and his point on banking (entrepreneurship without risk) is wrong also. Odd piece as usual he is a better writer and thinker.

And in today's "WTF is these people's concept of childhood, because it is WACK!!!": adults can now HIT DISABLED CHILDREN AT SCHOOL because Jesus is down with that?
A bill that would prohibit adults from hitting children with disabilities at school has failed. “If you do not use the rod on a disobedient child then you do not love the child. That is what the book [Bible] says.” — Rep. Jim Olsen

My wife and I had to make a termination decision at 21 weeks, 18 years ago. We have two beautiful children now but impacted us greatly. Also thankful we live in Oregon where we get to make appropriate, personal decisions.
24 days ago I learned my daughter was dying in utero, and if untreated I risked preeclampsia and stroke. Termination is illegal in NC after 21 weeks, which I was, even when she had no hope of surviving and I was in danger. Because I had the means to leave, I’m ok and recovering.

It's not that news orgs can't or are somehow being prevented from reporting on East Palestine, it's just clear they've decided you aren't interested in learning more about what's happening there. The New Republic, for example, is doing new reporting: newrepublic.com/post/170570/…

@Ccrystle Great article today. Summed up my own feelings exactly. I also have a hard time paying a lot for a car that sits idle 95% of the time. Just feels like a waste of money.
