Two critiques of Effective Altruism
1) Life requires selection and the dissipation of inferior life; this is the sole mechanism for the generation of all value. To be dissipated is to suffer, but suffering is necessary for all life. The alleviation of suffering as highest good for EA entails stasis, death, entropic accumulation, and extinction. It is a death cult.
2) Conscious states like pain, suffering, and happiness differ in kind in addition by degree. No large-number of insects suffering exceeds the suffering of a single human; there are multiple phase-changes of the character of suffering that separates the two, rendering their suffering different in kind and not by additive degree. EA equating the two by additive degree is a vector to tearing down all higher life, intelligence, beauty, to the homogenous mass devoid of distinction, a turning away from the Global Maxima. Death cult again.

It is highly significant that two words terrify polite society today: radical and fundamentalist. You can be on the right, but not on the radical right. You can be a Christian, but not a fundamentalist Christian.
The two words mean the same thing. Radical comes from Latin radix, meaning “root.” Fundamentalist comes from Latin fundus, meaning “bottom.” The worst thing today is having unshakable conviction all the way down.
The implication is that you can be what you want, as long as you don’t take it seriously—as long as you’re not consistent about it. If you’re a gap year communist, that’s fine. It’s when you become Lenin that you’re looking at jail. You can believe in hierarchy and tradition. But when you start actually restoring settlements earlier than liberal modernity, you’re in trouble.
At a deeper level, modernity is terrified of downward-oriented things. If you have roots, or if you are a foundationalist, that’s not OK. Where this is leading is that liberalism simply cannot brook anything that is not itself. Any worldview whose foundations lie outside liberal modernity, any worldview that is not an outgrowth of it, is The Greatest Evil in History, and no stone can be left unturned in eradicating its existence.
The cardinal sin of modernity is having a space that is not for all. The fundamentalist and the radical create that space. So they must be destroyed.

Grand Coulee Dam
This is the most powerful powerplant in North America it has a capacity of 6.8 GW and was built 1933-1942. It is old.
Below is one of 18 original Francis turbines that make up the plant. Some of them are approaching their 100th year in service. A ridiculous feat.
The vertical shafts and Francis units were produced at Newport News Shipyard, which is now the USN main naval base.
Worth remembering that if you get things right they can last a very long tim, these units are marvels, but interestingly I don’t think there is anywhere in America who could make this in 2026? It’s too big.
The 100 year old Francis runner below weighs 430 tons and is 10 meters diameter. In 2026, the largest forging size you can procure anywhere in the Americas is 130 tons

New Paper: Continuous Thought Machines 🧠
Neurons in brains use timing and synchronization in the way that they compute, but this is largely ignored in modern neural nets. We believe neural timing is key for the flexibility and adaptability of biological intelligence.
We propose a new neural architecture, “Continuous Thought Machines” (CTMs), which is built from the ground up to use neural dynamics as a core representation for intelligence. By using neural dynamics as a first-class representational citizen, CTMs naturally perform adaptive computation.
Many emergent, interesting behaviors arise as a result: CTMs solve mazes by observing a raw maze image and producing step-by-step instructions directly from its neural dynamics. When tasked with image recognition, the CTM naturally takes multiple steps to examine different parts of the image before making its decision. This step-by-step approach not only makes its behavior more interpretable but also improves accuracy: the longer it “thinks,” the more accurate its answers become.
We also found that this allows the CTM to decide to spend less time thinking on simpler images, thus saving energy. When identifying a gorilla, for example, the CTM’s attention moves from eyes to nose to mouth in a pattern remarkably similar to human visual attention.
I think this work underscores an important, yet often lost, synergy between neuroscience and AI. While modern AI is ostensibly brain-inspired, the two fields often operate in surprising isolation. By starting with such inspiration and iteratively following the emergent, interesting behaviors, we developed a model with unexpected capabilities, such as its surprisingly strong calibration in classification tasks, a feature that was not explicitly designed for.
When we initially asked, “why do this research?”, we hoped the journey of the CTM would provide compelling answers. By embracing light biological inspiration and pursuing the novel behaviors observed, we have arrived at a model with emergent capabilities that exceeded our initial designs. We are committed to continuing this exploration, borrowing further concepts to discover what new and exciting behaviors will emerge, pushing the boundaries of what AI can achieve.

Practically all conservative justices begin every case with trying to figure out what the law says or what the law was originally intended to accomplish. Meanwhile, every single Liberal justice starts with asking what outcome achieves gay race communism, and then works backwards from that point to justify their ruling.

Yes every white country at the same time exponentially increased how many violent third worlders they let in. And yes these countries all at once started teaching children their ancestors were uniquely evil while portraying every nonwhite group as eternal victims who only ever contributed positively.
And yes they all simultaneously pushed the idea that any expression of white in-group preference or pride was inherently supremacist and dangerous. And yes they all celebrated and funded every other ethnic group's identity organizations and pride events.
And yes every major political party in these unrelated countries openly endorsed or quietly facilitated more nonwhite immigration. And yes they all said it was out of moral progress or economic necessity or demographic inevitability.
And yes they all at the same time began labeling any politician or party that tried to slow or reverse the flow as far right or extremist or threat to democracy even when those parties were polling 40% among native voters. And yes the intelligence agencies in these countries all started treating native critics of mass migration as bigger domestic terrorism threats than the actual imported gangs and jihadist networks.
And yes the banking system and payment processors all at the same time began deplatforming and financially crippling anyone who spoke too plainly about the pattern. And yes legacy media coordinated identical smear campaigns against anyone who noticed.
And yes all at the same time fertility among the native white populations collapsed. And yes this was encouraged through cultural messaging and economic pressure and delayed family formation and pharmaceutical and surgical interventions representing liberation while all the same countries imported replacement-level amounts of third worlders with higher birth rates.
And yes they were immediately fast tracked to citizenship. And yes in all these countries at the same time welfare systems were reoriented to subsidize the invaders more generously than struggling native families which created observably tiered outcomes that were blamed on systemic racism when white people noticed.
And yes all of these countries at the same time experienced violent crime spikes and sexual predation scandals and fraud and welfare strain and cultural erosion. And yes when that became impossible to hide every single one of these countries responded with more censorship and more gaslighting and more "diversity is our strength" slogans and more blaming the native population for not embracing the transformation fast enough and more acceleration of the policies that caused the problems.
And yes all these countries at the same time made it functionally illegal to dissent to this. And yes they all deployed the same hate speech laws and online content bans and deplatforming pressure and extremism watchlists to silence natives who objected. And yes in every country the native population was told to adapt and lower their standards and to accept erosion of their safety and traditions and future under the banner of tolerance and inclusion that always didn’t extend to their own group interests.
But NO: despite this precisely repeating across every white country at the same time with no exceptions and no natural divergence you must accept this is all just a spontaneous and completely unrelated convergence of policy and culture across dozens of sovereign nations with no central directive or shared blueprint or common architects.
And NO it’s certainly nothing that can’t be reversed through ordinary electoral politics within the same system that enforced this entire transformation at every step.
There is no reason to ask who or why. It’s all a coincidence. We can vote our way out of this
