Building more homes at a faster pace adds to the supply of housing while giving people options: Standalone homes, townhomes, duplexes, multiplexes, midrise apartments, rowhouses and more. More options means more affordability.
I visited Element5, a mass timber manufacturer in St. Thomas last week, to learn more about the potential of prefabricated home building. The company started with one employee in 2019 and now has more than 300 workers. It’s a great story for our region.
