Yoruba has become a widely embraced indigenous language in Nigerian filmmaking, and the growth is remarkable. At this rate, Yoruba cinema is setting its sights on the global stage, with Hollywood as a long term inspiration. 🔥🎬 Mehn, what did I just watch? This gave me goosebumps! 😭🔥🇳🇬

IGP DISU HONOURS NIGERIA’S LAST SURVIVING PIONEER FEMALE POLICE OFFICER The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, has honoured Dame Stella Obuoforibo Okuyiga, DCP (Rtd), Nigeria’s last surviving pioneer female police officer, for her contributions to policing and women’s advancement in the Nigeria Police Force. Disu paid tribute to the retired officer in Port Harcourt during the presentation of her memoir, The Origin of Police Women in Nigeria: The Story of the Pioneer Women Officers and My Journey in the Nigeria Police Force (1955–1986). Dame Okuyiga joined the Force in October 1955 and served for three decades, helping to pave the way for women in a predominantly male profession. Describing her as a historic figure and a “living monument,” the IGP stressed that the ambitions of the girl child must never be limited by gender. Her memoir documents the challenges and achievements of the pioneering female officers, preserving an important chapter in police history and inspiring generations of women in uniform.

I love watching K-dramas on zombie apocalypse, & I really wish we had a high-standard Nigerian zombie apocalypse movie / series. I’d love to write the script for one good storytelling, suspense, quality and a proper thrill. Any Nigerian producer/director? @funkeakindele

Energy capacity = economic capacity, in one chart There are no low electricity, rich countries
"Energy Capacity = Economic Capacity" Former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger on why America's power grid is the ceiling on growth: "We went through 10 to 15 years where essentially I was taking coal offline at the rate I was adding renewables, and essentially the nation was flatlined in terms of overall energy capacity." "So essentially our economic capacity as a nation, flat for fifteen years." "Even with that, we've gone to maybe increasing our national energy capacity 4% per year. Going from essentially zero to one." "Nuclear as base load is a fabulous thing that we want to go build more of. Unfortunately all of our renewables have deep dependencies in China." "Energy capacity somewhat dampens how euphoric we can get on AI. Why build a new data center and buy the million GPUs if I can't power them?" @PGelsinger @RaghuRaghuram @appenz
