After a one-year break from talking at conferences, @DevTalksRo invited me to speak at their conference.
As a digital nomad who is constantly moving, I stopped planning conferences because it is hard to know where I will be in the following months.
But Larisa-Adelaida Dima, one of the organizers, found the best way to reach me, which is to invite me on short notice and see if it fits me.
I knew I would be in Thessaloniki, Greece, at the conference time, and with a close direct flight of an hour, I knew that speaking there would suit me.
It was a great pleasure and fun to speak about CSS and life and how we can play without code & life combined.
Maybe this was my last talk, or maybe there will be more opportunities like this at the last moment that can fit a close location to where I will be.
And my last talk for the day at @DevTalksRo is @eladsc from @appwrite talking CSS… I still think it's black magic

How do you define a CSS Grid with 5 columns without defining the Grid itself with any columns?

Chrome is shipping
support 🥳 For lazy-loaded images with srcset, this allows the browser to use the layout width of the image in order to select the source url from the srcset.

For lazy-loaded images, CSS is often available before the image load begins. The browser can take the actual width of the image from CSS and use that as if it was the image's sizes.
One of the best news for #CSS, finally ':has' pseudo-class, the "parent" selector, is arriving at @firefox in the next several months, bringing us to full support in evergreen browsers.

#CSS Positions got the 'inset' property, a shorthand to describe all the directions combined.
Now has full support in all the updatable browsers.

Now you can unite #CSS 'vertical-padding' or 'horizontal-padding'.
Works as well for the 'margin' and the 'border' properties.
Supported in all updatable browsers.
(while 'writing-mode' stays with its default value 'horizontal-tb')
