I’ve been saying this all morning. After an overseas trip w/ 36 hours w/o sleep he was expected to be cognitively and physically able to perform. When none of us could drive a vehicle in that state. Just an asinine decision by this organization. (Goes beyond the medical team) 🤬

So on point. Well done 🎯
Jalen Hurts’ health leads the new cycle. it’s become an opportunity for his haters to forget they are a hater or lean into the hate. Because Hurts’ is polarizing, but it’s not what you think. It’s because he’s unapologetically Black. Here, I explain… salon.com/2026/10/21/jalen-h…

The entire Jalen Hurts timeline hinges on one distinction: DVT or superficial vein thrombosis? If DVT was diagnosed before London, he should not have played. If it was only SVT, clearing him met medical standards. That distinction matters. @PatMcAfeeShow

Initially, there was some jealousy and perhaps envy in the beginning, but McNabb clocked tf in cause he understood what goes on as a black QB and he’s been Team Hurts ever since. It’s bigger than ego. We gotta support us cause they sure won’t and Hurts is such a high character guy, it’s hard to even hate him forreal. 🖤

Just some clarity on what the #Eagles can or can't say when it comes to their players' medical issues and whether Howie Roseman should have been made available to answer questions rather than Nick Sirianni: For years during the Andy Reid era, many times when there was an injury or medical situation that extended beyond the norm, the team would provide head trainer Rick Burkholder to answer questions from reporters. For instance, when Mike Patterson collapsed and suffered a seizure during training camp in 2011, Burkholder was front and center after Patterson was diagnosed with cerebral arteriovenous malformation. When Reid left, the Eagles essentially decided they would keep most injury information private outside of NFL-sanctioned practice and status reports. Most of the questions about Jalen Hurts and his blood clot(s) that were directed at Nick Sirianni on Monday, however, were about procedure (should he have played? traveled? flown?). Sirianni deferred to the team's medical staff. Obviously, no one from the medical staff was made available. They don't report to Sirianni, but to Eagles GM Howie Roseman. Roseman doesn't typically speak with reporters on the record during the season, except after major trades (i.e. Cam Jurgens two weeks ago). But there is nothing preventing the team from having a news conference with Roseman over the handling of Hurts during the last few weeks. Presumably, if Roseman -- who is responsible for all roster decisions and oversees all medical, training, strength and sports science departments -- and the team believe they handled Hurts appropriately, then they shouldn't be wary of answering specific questions about the topic for public consumption.

Jalen Hurts was overseas, under-rested and dealing with a blood clot while playing without key offensive weapons at his disposal and ran the ball only twice (maybe as a way of self-preservation knowing what he was dealing with). Just one question: Why?
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days. Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

Jalen Hurts has blood clots in both lungs, ending his season. The long-term outlook is encouraging. This is very unlikely to be life-threatening, and he should be able to resume his career. More on the cause, London travel, and what comes next:

Michael Robinson owes #Eagles QB1 Jalen Hurts a full apology, full stop. Opinion: tinyurl.com/yk3yx6pk The inferred accusations in his rant below are dangerous on several fronts: From implying the #Eagles starting quarterback may be quitting on his team, to Hurts may be overstating an injury since it’s “superficial,” to assuming Hurts' injury doesn’t need vigilant monitoring for progression in severity because it’s “superficial” —all the while telling us to google it because Hurts' clot is only "superficial." Well beyond just Google, I conferred with a medical expert who used to be a prominent doctor in a major city hospital. In general, a superficial blood clot is not entirely isolated from the deeper venous system, and can potentially progress to a deep vein thrombosis through a few specific mechanisms. Among the 49 defenders that have faced at least 23 targets in coverage, Eagles DB Quinyon Mitchell ranks 2nd in the NFL in passer rating allowed (58.2) behind only Byron Murphy (MIN). Mitchell is also giving up just 1.5 yds after the catch per reception — best in football among the 80 players that have faced at least 20 tgts. All-Pro type of stuff once again from 27.
