Challenging folks' ideas is a sign of respect. Treat folks as thinking agents with the ability to decide what they believe, rather than products of their cultural environments. We can respect people and respectfully disagree with their ideas. 🧠⚡💯

From time to time, I ask my son "What are you listening to?" and he tells me what bands he's into. 50% of the time its some emo band, but last night he was like "King Crimson," That's apparently some British prog-rock band from the 1960s I've never even heard of. Lol.

Counterpoint: People’s property belongs to them and is not for you to redistribute as you think best.
We should double property taxes for people over 65 to encourage downsizing and free up inventory for young families

As much as I love being the contrarian, I must report that “You Can See Everything” is indeed an extraordinary bit of filmmaking. Just from a pure craft perspective, it is unquestionably a masterpiece. An effective and emotionally layered psychological thriller in the form of a documentary — and it holds your attention for 3 hours. I don’t think anyone has ever done anything like that with the documentary genre. And I say that as someone who has made two of them. Pretty easily the best movie of the year. It wont be to everyone’s taste but it’s hard to deny that, artistically, it’s a triumph. Other filmmakers in the genre (myself included) need to up their games. Meanwhile, Nathan Fielder — across TV and now film — has never made a bad piece of media. Batting a thousand. Remarkable.

Oh shit I was gonna vote straight ticket Republican but then I took a break from my full time blue collar job and raising my family and somehow I heard on a lefty's podcast that Trump endorsed Netanyahu so now I have no choice but to troon out and vote for the infinity illegal aliens and trans the kids party.
🇺🇸🇮🇱 Trump just endorsed Netanyahu for Israeli PM knowing FULL WELL it’s political suicide for every Republican on the ballot. Joe Kent, fmr. Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, had one question: “Why is he making these decisions? That’s one of the biggest questions of our time.” The Israel lobby has that much control over an American president. Kent broke down exactly how we got here. The Iraq War created the migrant crisis now burning French cities. The Iran war is doing the same thing. And the GOP Senate majority just went from 72% likely to 35% since it started. We bomb their countries. Then we invite them to ours. Kent calls it “fight them and invite them” and it’s the most honest summary of U.S. foreign policy in decades. @joekent16jan19

It is a great historical injustice that you can't burn down the buildings of revolutionaries who've never built any.

I understand that the 401(k) didn't come around until the 1980s, but I am fully convinced that most Boomers don't understand that Social Security benefits have been a dwindling Ponzi Scheme for over three decades.

"I paid into social security and I'm entitled to it!" is such a ridiculous line used primarily by folks who never saved a penny in their lives and have withdrawn more from Social Security than they ever put into it.

President Bush was slapped down in 2004 for even discussing Social Security reform, despite all the numbers suggesting that privatizing a portion of what we pay into FICA would benefit everyone far more than relying on the dwindling Pozni Scheme.

The Chiefs are playing so mid today that I feel like an average team could make a competitive game out of this. The Chargers just look absolutely terrible, and there's honestly no excuse for them to look so bad with the level of talent they have.

Chiefs received that ball around the 30, then ran it backwards, fumbled (but recovered) and got a 10-yard penalty to boot. They've got a two possession lead but it's frustrating to see them playing sloppy like this.

Lol, the refs reviewed the play and gave the recovery to the Chargers. This game is almost unwatchable. Everyone is playing sloppy. The refs are clowns.

I really wanted that Safety. #chiefsvschargers

The Chiefs’ foundation is looking a little cracked when the center can’t snap and the kicker can’t kick. Creed Humphrey and Harrison Butker are looking unreliable.

It's week 6 and the Chargers have both Justin Herbert and Mike McDaniel but the announcers keep saying "there's going to be a learning curve," Buddy, I'm sorry but that's ridiculous to say once, and to repeat it is just plain stupid.

Many companies and small businesses are moving towards one of two models: low premium, high deductible insurance paired with HSAs —or— Medical co-ops where you have free or reduced healthcare from specific doctors in a network. Both of these are better than Government Healthcare.
If we don't return health care to a free market, we'll end up with single payer. We all saw what government control over health care looked like during COVID. No thanks.

Many Libertarians are themselves the enemies of liberty. This why I'm a Republican. Republicans do more libertarian shit than Libertarians on any given Sunday.
