Few years ago I barely got any traffic. Spent hours figuring out which keywords I should target and how to generate more organic traffic. Fast forward 6 years. "Ruby on remote" is my highest traffic generating keyword.

This is big!
We @1Password are proud to join the Rails Foundation as a core member. To us, @rails is where the future is, where the community is, and where the challenge is. Rails has changed my life and I cannot wait to give back as a member of the foundation. blog.1password.com/1password…

October was a special month for RubyOnRemote, kept breaking revenue numbers from the previous months. Boring, slow-growth business, now pays my rent and utilities!

This is the way. @levelsio making us all proud!
Here's my conversation with Pieter Levels (@levelsio), self-taught developer and entrepreneur who designed, programmed, shipped, and ran over 40 startups, many of which are hugely successful. In most cases, he did it all by himself, while living the digital nomad life in over 40 countries and over 150 cities. This was a fun and inspiring conversation! It's here on X in full, and is up on YouTube, Spotify, and everywhere else. Links in comment. We are well over 3100 now. Let's go Rubyists!
RubyOnRemote on LinkedIn just crossed a 100 followers. I know it's not much but to people keen to hear more about ruby jobs makes me want to keep going on this project. The growth, lately in the subscriber base is the sole reason I get excited to improve the site.

Not sure if anyone else has seen this on the @ProductHunt iOS app before. But everytime I go from For you page to Featured, all I see is one product with same upvotes in all positions.

TIL: In Postgres, if you have an order by clause of two columns and both columns don't have unique values between two or more rows, then you end up with a random order of rows. This gets even more unpredictable with an OFFSET/LIMIT while doing pagination.

Fixed it by adding 1 more column to my ORDER BY clause which I know will be unique in all rows.

Takes a long time to build things people want! PS: my monetization commit will be 1000th, should have done it sooner.

Been trying to get back into daily building in public habit. Apart from posting on X, I also found and liked @wip and now thanks to @poppacalypse I'm finally on it :-) Let's get to building again! #buildinpublic
