Today I attended the court hearing for the man arrested for the murder of Julian Mobley, the CTA worker, husband and father who was stabbed to death last week. It happened again. A violent offender free on electronic monitoring has committed another violent crime and is charged with murder. This must stop. I am the only candidate in this race who has committed to taking on the SAFE-T Act and has the legislative experience to do it. As Mayor, I will work with the General Assembly to amend the SAFE-T Act. Anyone who is accused of committing a violent crime should not be out on electronic monitoring. I am also the only candidate in this race who has issued a comprehensive public transit plan. My plan centers on making the CTA safer for every rider and for every employee of the CTA.

None of the Chicago mayoral candidates have experience managing a fiscal budget for millions of residents - except me. I helped lead Illinois from $48,000 in savings and $17 billion in unpaid bills to $2.5 billion in reserves and bills paid in 13 days. This is not an "anybody but” race. Chicago is at an inflection point and NEEDS a financial expert on the 5th floor. That’s me, and I’m ALL IN Chicago. #chicago

The CTA moves millions of Chicagoans every single day. But right now, it's not working the way it should. Today, on the CTA's birthday, I released my public transit plan - because as Mayor, I'll take clean, safe, and reliable transit from the Wish List to the To-Do List. Let's get it done Chicago. #chicago

I will take immediate steps to advance this plan on Day One. As Mayor of Chicago, I will move safe, clean and reliable public transit from the Wish List to the To-Do List. #chicago

Loved spending time at the Taste of Polonia festival this weekend - live music, incredible Polish cuisine, and a community that knows how to celebrate its culture. Chicago's neighborhoods are what make this city world class. 🇵🇱 #chicago

When I think about our schools, I don't start with politics. I start with my son. I'm a CPS mom, and I want the same opportunities for every CPS student that I want for him. As we start this new school year, our focus should be on students and the real results that will shape their future. Our kids should always come first. #chicago

I had a fantastic time kicking off the Du Quoin State Fair last week! 🎡 It’s always special to see Illinoisans come together to celebrate a great tradition. If you haven’t made it to the fair yet, there’s still time—the fun continues through September 7!

They said I know what I'm doing behind the bar. Wait till you see what I can do with Chicago's finances. I paid off the state’s $17 billion backlog of unpaid bills, helped to deliver eleven credit upgrades in Illinois, and more. Let's get a Mayor who knows what they're doing with Chicago's finances. #chicago #mayor #susanaforchicago

Illinois just earned its 11th credit upgrade! Better credit means lower interest rates and massive savings for our taxpayers. Huge congratulations to @GovPritzker, @ILTreasurer Frerichs, my incredible team at the @ILComptroller's Office, and the legislators who kept us on this path. Fiscal discipline, balanced budgets, timely payments, stronger reserves, and dedicated pension progress deliver real results. Let's keep this momentum going. As Mayor, I look forward to bringing this exact same financial blueprint to Chicago - stopping the hemorrhaging, reversing the downgrades, and building a stronger fiscal future for our city. Chicago needs proven financial leadership. I’m ready to deliver, and I am ALL IN. – at Chicago, IL
I’m proud to announce that Illinois has now received its 11th credit rating upgrade since I took office! We’re continuing to put our state on stronger financial footing and deliver results for Illinois taxpayers.
