Bro what the fuck
This is the absolute LAST post I ever expected to be making on the Monday of my bodybuilding show week. After months of weighing every gram of food, tracking every calorie, hitting my workouts, doing my cardio, practicing my posing, and preparing myself mentally, physically, and spiritually to step on stage this Saturday, I spent this past weekend binge eating in a way I’ve never experienced before. And when I say binge eating, I don’t mean I went out and enjoyed a cheat meal or ate a little more than I was supposed to. I mean I completely lost control. I kept eating long after my stomach was telling me to stop. I was physically uncomfortable, I wasn’t even enjoying the food anymore, and yet I continued eating. And the scariest part wasn’t even the amount of food I consumed. It was what was going through my head while I was doing it. At a certain point, it felt like I was intentionally sabotaging myself. Like there was a part of me that wanted to ruin everything I had worked so hard for. And I’ve spent the last couple of days asking myself WHY. Was I afraid I wasn’t going to look good enough on stage? Was I afraid of disappointing myself? Was I putting so much pressure on myself that I subconsciously wanted a way out? I don’t have all the answers. But those are some uncomfortable questions I’ve had to start asking myself. After the first binge, I told my coach Chris Elkins everything. Every single thing I ate. We talked about it, and the plan was to move forward, reassess, and take things day by day. The next day, I got right back to my routine. Tracked my food, followed my plan, and genuinely thought I had moved past what happened. Then nighttime came. What started as one extra bite of food turned into another binge. And this one was even worse than the first. I can’t even explain how disappointed I felt afterward. Not because I had eaten food that wasn’t on my plan. But because I had reached a point where I felt like I couldn’t stop myself from doing something I knew was hurting me. I woke up physically miserable. My face was extremely swollen, my body felt awful, and I was looking at myself in the mirror trying to understand how I had gotten here. And now here I am. Five days away from the competition I’ve spent months preparing for, roughly 10 pounds heavier than I was going into the weekend, and genuinely uncertain whether I’m going to step on stage this Saturday. Chris believes competing is still an option. Part of me wants to finish what I started. Another part of me wonders whether postponing until November would be the better decision. Because I know how much work I put into this prep. And I also know that the choices I made this weekend have consequences. I’m not going to sit here and blame anybody else. I’m not going to pretend it didn’t happen. And I’m definitely not going to ask anyone to feel sorry for me. But I also don’t want to spend the rest of my life beating myself up over two days. I made those choices. I have to own them. And now I have to figure out how to move forward. One thing this weekend has forced me to recognize is just how much pressure I’ve been putting on myself. Not only with bodybuilding, but with life in general. Constantly working. Constantly thinking about what’s next. Constantly being on my phone. Constantly feeling like I need to be doing MORE. And somewhere along the way, I stopped giving myself enough room to just live. So regardless of whether I compete Saturday or in November, some things are going to change. I’m prioritizing my sleep. I’m taking real breaks from social media. I’m giving myself time to recover. And I’m going to take a serious look at my relationship with food and the pressure I’ve been putting on myself. I’m not going to pretend I’ve figured everything out in 48 hours. I haven’t. And I don’t want to turn this into some inspirational story about how I fell down and immediately got back up stronger than ever. I’m still figuring it out.

For all of the BYU fans that yell at me any time I say that the Brethren downtown care a lot about BYU football (and basketball) and that they absolutely make decisions relevant to athletics. THIS is why. Usually not this direct. But BYU sports spread the message of the COJCOLDS
Pat McAfee just shared on his show the full story behind the viral moment of reading the Book of Mormon live on College GameDay. Turns out a BYU student tossed a Book of Mormon onto the stage, and Pat proceeded to pick it up and read it live on air. It was completely spontaneous. The verses he picked were completely random, prompted by the markings made by the student 😂 Hopefully this moment spurs more people to pick up a Book of Mormon and explore what it contains for themselves! The Book of Mormon testifies of Jesus Christ and is full of truth rooted in His gospel. Along with the Bible, it is an inspired book that has helped millions come to know Jesus Christ. @PatMcAfeeShow Thank you for giving us that great moment and we invite you to continue reading God's words that have changed our lives!

Netflix just fired its movie boss for the exact thing he told the New York Times four months ago. Back in June, Dan Lin said directors who still want their movies in theaters are filmmakers Netflix has "accepted we just won't work with." Over the weekend Netflix let him go, and Variety's sources say the problem was he never figured out theaters. The timing on this is kind of unbelievable. The first time Netflix ever finished #1 at the US box office was last August, with sing-along screenings of a K-pop cartoon. KPop Demon Hunters pulled in somewhere around $18 to 20 million that weekend, became the most-watched movie in Netflix history, and went on to win an Oscar. So Netflix's best weekend at the movies happened nine months before its own film chief went on record against movie theaters. That one came out of a Sony Pictures Animation deal Netflix signed in 2021, three years before he got there. Lin took the job in April 2024 from Scott Stuber, the guy who'd spent years writing huge checks to Scorsese, Fincher, Cuarón and the Coens. Netflix brought Lin in to rein all that in. He reorganized the whole movie division by genre instead of budget and pretty much treated the theater question as closed. This year it started costing him. David Fincher decided not to renew his Netflix deal after the company refused the expensive reshoots he wanted on the Cliff Booth sequel, then ended up giving him a few extra days of shooting anyway. Greta Gerwig got the one exception to Lin's rule, a $250 million Narnia movie going wide in theaters next year. According to Variety, Lin was dismissive with her on a Zoom call about it, word got around Netflix fast, and he quietly stopped being the executive on that film. Now look at who's reportedly up for his job. Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy used to run Warner Bros. film, and they reportedly want real theatrical guarantees from Ted Sarandos before they'll sign. And Lin is only the second senior content exec Netflix has pushed out in five days. Chief content officer Bela Bajaria went first, right in the middle of a 1,000-person layoff, Netflix's biggest since 2022. Engagement grew 2% in the first half of the year. In July, YouTube got 14.2% of all US TV viewing according to Nielsen, almost double Netflix's 7.8%. The stock's down more than 40% since the failed Warner Bros. bid. Oh, and the guy taking Bajaria's job, Peter Rice, starts October 26. Disney fired him from its top content job back in 2022, so he knows exactly how these weeks go. Netflix reports earnings Tuesday. By then two content chiefs will be gone, and I still haven't heard anyone there explain how swapping out the people who pick the movies gets back the hours everybody's spending on YouTube.
🚨Just in: Netflix’s Film Chief Dan Lin has been fired

The iPhone Duo arrives on October 23. A million people pre-ordered it. Every one of them will unfold it, spend 5 minutes going “wow,” and then spend the next 30 days using it exactly like their old iPhone unfolded for everything, draining the battery by noon, ignoring the outer display, never adjusting a single setting, and wondering why a $1,999 phone feels like an expensive iPad mini that makes calls. A tech journalist who’s been using a pre-production iPhone Duo since early September 6 weeks of daily, all-day use learned something the hard way that she wishes someone had told her on day one. “The iPhone Duo has a learning curve Apple doesn’t warn you about. Not a technical curve a behavioral one. You have to unlearn how you use an iPhone. The instinct to unfold for everything kills the battery and wastes the outer display. The instinct to hold it like a slab ignores the hinge that’s a tripod, a kickstand, and a tent. The instinct to use the front camera for selfies throws away the 48MP rear camera system designed to replace it. And the instinct to ignore Settings means you’ll miss the Shift Left Edge display hack, the dual-battery optimization, the nano-texture writing surface, and the StandBy upgrade that turns a $1,999 phone into the best bedside clock Apple’s ever made.” She documented the 11 daily-use tricks she learned in 6 weeks that transform the iPhone Duo from “big phone I keep unfolding” into the device Apple actually designed. Here’s the second wave of hidden iPhone Duo features the ones you discover after the first week 🧵

🚨IT'S HAPPENING. THE FIRST MAJOR CNN ANCHOR RESIGNS AFTER THE PARAMOUNT ACQUISITION: Christiane Amanpour has announced she is leaving CNN after 43 years at the network. The longtime international anchor says her daily show will end at the close of 2026. She will continue a weekly version of the program through June 2027 before fully exiting. The departure comes shortly after the more conservative owned Paramount completed its acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery and took control of CNN. Amanpour’s exit follows years of her attacks on President Trump.

Obama’s panicked defense of Ilhan Omar is a sign that Democrats know just how bad things are about to get for them… Every word of his statement is an admission. Democrats have targeted Trump dozens of times: Raiding Mar-a-Lago, planting evidence, indicting him 4 times, spied on his campaign, the Russia hoax, the Ukraine impeachment hoax and even made assassination attempts. Obama has led the charge on all of this. This is existential for them. If Trump strikes at the head of the snake of Somali fraud and takes down Ilhan, Obama knows America will lose faith in third-world migration. It’s all about to collapse.
