Dr. Erin Friedman retweeted
Holding back tears: “It was a terrible night for women, for children, for the hundreds of thousands of hard working immigrants who make this country great, for health care, for our climate, for science, for journalism, for justice, for free speech, for poor people, for the middle class, for seniors who rely on social security, for our allies in Ukraine, for NATO, for the truth, for democracy, for decency, for everyone who voted again him, and guess what—it was a bad night for everyone who voted for him too, you just don’t realize it yet” @jimmykimmel @JimmyKimmelLive
It’s time for another field lab with intro bio! In the past few weeks, the students have learned to ID local tick s and follow drag protocols. Last week, they did research & developed an experiment to compare different tick collection methods, and this week is data collection!

I’ve spent plenty of summers in Minnesota and have been to Alaska twice, so I’d never have predicted that my first time seeing the Northern lights would be at home in Central Virginia!
Today is Plant Bio #UnEssay day! I'll be posting to this thread throughout the day to showcase each student's project.
Last but not least, Amy created a plant biology artist's textbook complete with prints of various plant structures and dried plants that we collected throughout the semester. She transcribed her notes throughout!
