There needs to be more talk about this. Radical Islam is wreaking havoc in Nigeria, where innocent civilians are being targeted and slaughtered by its followers.
Many stay silent, but this needs more attention.

My four year old yesterday...
grabbed our two garden carts.
Raided my tie downs and daisy chained them together in the most ludicrous ways possible between the two carts.
Mounted pitch forks and similar tools on this contraption along with a bunch of other bins and helmets and...
Blocked the driveway as if he was a Norse king come to conquer a new land.
It makes sense - his favorite book right now is a history of war book, which he requests we read to him multiple times a day, and where he constantly goes to whatever picture of weapons and warfare most entices his imagination.
Sure, our driveway is now a bit of a mess... but to make men, you must endure the mess.
Boys are messy. Loud. Hungry. Aggressive. Wrestler. Squirmy.
At times smelly. Sometimes a bit cranky.
They need space to be boys, space sorely lacking in many Christian homes, churches, and schools, let alone in society in general.
But you will never have men who tread on serpents heads, lead in home and country well, if you don't let boys be boys that can actually become men.
So let the boys rough house and get hurt. Let them make a giant mess... and have to learn to clean it up

Desiring money can be greed but it also can be desiring to provide for wife, children, grandchildren, neighbors, and community.
Desiring sex can be lust but it also can be the expression of a marital bond and means of creating new image bearers and covenant children.
The pursuit of health can be vanity but it also can be a desire to be useful and helpful for as long as you possibly can.
Look around...
Is our problem that the church is full of financially well off physically fit happily married men?
Is that our issue?
That the church is overwhelmed with ambitious men?
No, no it isn’t.
It’s mediocre men who trouble us.
