We honor the life and service of Officer Shane Seiber, who made the ultimate sacrifice on October 10, 2026.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, fellow officers, and everyone who knew and loved him. May they find strength and comfort in the support of the law enforcement family during this difficult time.
We will remember his service, honor his sacrifice, and never forget his name.

Rest in Peace, Police Officer Shane Seiber of the Philadelphia Police Department in Pennsylvania. End of Watch: October 10, 2026.
Officer Seiber served in law enforcement for 10 years and was an Air Force Veteran, serving from 2007-2015, including two tours in Iraq. He is survived by his wife and two children.
The FBI sends our prayers and condolences to Officer Seiber’s family, friends, and colleagues left behind. They will have our full support.

Imagine someone knocking on HER door during one of her and her families most sacred or emotional days of their lives?

One Philadelphia police officer is dead, and another is fighting for his life. Between them, 15 gunshot wounds.
They answered a call for service and walked into an ambush.
One father will never come home to his two children, while another family is praying their father of five survives. These officers showed up to serve and protect their community, and in return, they were met with a hail of bullets.
How many more officers must be gunned down for doing their jobs before Congress acts? How many more families must have their lives shattered before we stop accepting violence against law enforcement as an inevitable part of the job?
WE ARE FED UP WITH MOURNING OFFICERS WHO SHOULD HAVE COME HOME.
Prayers and condolences are not enough when officers are being deliberately targeted simply for wearing the badge. The National Fraternal Order of Police calls on Congress to pass the Protect and Serve Act, establishing federal penalties for those who deliberately target law enforcement officers with violence.
Our officers continue to answer the call. Congress must answer ours! We will not stay silent while officers are hunted down for doing the job they swore to do.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. PASS THE PROTECT AND SERVE ACT.

Today we lost one of Pennsylvania’s finest — Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber, who was shot and killed in the line of duty.
Lori and I are praying for Officer Seiber’s loved ones and the entire @PhillyPolice family as they grieve the loss of one of their brothers in uniform.
Our law enforcement officers are the very best of us. They put their lives on the line every day, running towards danger to keep their fellow Pennsylvanians safe, not knowing if they will return home. We owe them our deepest gratitude.
I’ve ordered U.S. and Pennsylvania flags on all Commonwealth grounds to fly at half-staff in honor of Officer Seiber’s memory — may it forever be a blessing.
Thank you for your continued support of law enforcement Ms. Speaker, it is much appreciated!
My prayers are with the brave @PhillyPolice officers who were shot while responding to an incident in West Philadelphia early this morning. I am praying for their strength, peace, and full recovery, and for their families and loved ones.

Yesterday, @FopLodge27 assisted our brothers and sisters from CABLE (Collective Agreement of Black Law Enforcement Officers) with their first ever golf outing. It was a great event with great law enforcement officers from the tri-state area!! @PA_FOP @GLFOP
