Totality from Vincennes, IN lasted ~4 min 6 sec. Longest totality in the state, per prior research I did. 📸 iPhone 14 Pro Max. No traffic from Louisville, KY. I left 3 hrs prior. Comment with your photos + where you took them! 🌞 #Eclipse2024 #EclipseSolar2024 #SolarEclipse2024 – at United States
My fav. part of the #Oscars
Misty Copeland comes out of retirement to put Timothée Chalamet in his place during a live ‘Sinners’ performance at the #Oscars.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
the sinners scene that this performance was recreating has a ballet dancer in it. Copeland's performance was also already scheduled.

.@Lyft took 62% of this driver’s ride on our way to the airport. We paid $26.90, and the driver showed us he is getting paid $10.15. I was curious so I asked so that’s why he showed us. Very different than Lyft’s 70% earnings commitment stated on their website. #Rideshare #Lyft
I voted, in and out within 10 minutes, with no line at my polling location in Louisville (St. Marks Church). I asked a poll worker if their machines were affected this morning and they said yes, from open (6 a.m.) until ~10-11 a.m. @ACLUofKY @KYSecState #Election2024 1/2 🧵
I don’t like that poll workers at my polling location packed up the privacy dividers a few minutes before the polls officially closed. So less than a handful of voters and I voted without those. Do I think it was intentional? No. They wanted to leave ASAP. But still… @ACLUofKY
ACLU of KENTUCKY Legal Director Corey Shapiro said, “After three days of historic levels of early voting, this morning’s lack of preparedness from our County Clerk [in Louisville] is inexcusable.” Via @courierjournal @ACLUofKY
THANK YOU for investigating this. 🙏

I want to specifically know what day and time this software update started? @courierjournal @WDRBNews @WFPLNews @wave3news @WLKY @SpectrumNews1KY @CNN @essvote @nytimes @ABC @NBCNews @CBSNews

I’m in Jefferson County , Kentucky. Our machines had a software update that news outlets are reporting was to reconcile for early voting and absentee ballots do no one votes 2x. What day and time did the software update start for our county?
Procedural audits vary from state to state, but a ballot accounting and reconciliation process is standard for all. The focus is a check on the human processes of election management. #Protect2024 #TrustedInfo2024
#GOTV 🗳️ If you’re working TODAY in #Kentucky, you can take up to four consecutive hours off to vote. Those hours can be determined by your employer , but you’re allowed that time, per KY State Board of Elections // elect.ky.gov/Frequently-Aske…

THIS!!
The article indicates they ran a software update today. I’m sorry but has anyone asked why a software update was pushed out on the morning of the election? Software updates cause issues and need fixes all the time. Did @WDRBNews follow up with this question?
This is so disappointing. @KYSecState
JUST IN: Friend of mine standing in line out the door at Springdale Church in Louisville due to delay, being told by workers there that "computers shut down " @WHAS11
The question I’d like asked: Why wouldn’t this update be done and completed BEFORE the polls opened? @KYSecState
According to the Jefferson County Clerk's Office, a software update to voting machines is the cause of delays at voting locations. The update is important for election integrity, they explained. Here's the latest from our Juliet Gahan. #decision2024 #elections #electionday
.@KYSecState My BF went to vote 6:30am @ Community Church in Louisville. He texted me NO ONE COULD VOTE. Poll workers said, “Polling device co. is pushing out updates. Everything should work better after it installs & the device reboots.’” He ~9 people leave & not vote. 🧵1/2
.@KYSecState He left the polling site at 7:12 a.m., having voted. 🗳️ Why would updates be pushed out ON Election Day? #ElectionDay #Vote2024
