Celebrating the release of the recording behind-the-scenes today💫
「For us」の歌詞を英語に翻訳してみました。今朝、「つっかえた想いを吐いて、僕らしく刻んでいて」の「刻む」はなにを意味していて、そして英語ではどう訳すかという話を他のLUNÉとしていまして。
最初は、「主人公が自分の成長の過程をコツコツと刻んでいく」という意味なのかなとか、「ダンス映画だからビートを刻む」という意味も込められていそうだね、なんて話していたんだけど、それを英語にすると“Leave my mark the way I am”（僕のマークを刻み、残していく）となる。
そこでふと、「これ、“mark on me”への目配せも兼ねたトリプルミーニングになり得るのでは…？」と降りてきて、勝手にめちゃくちゃ興奮しました。今回のカムバEPには収録されないだろうけど、それでもこのタイミングでこの解釈の幅はエモいなと思いました。やっぱり歌詞読み込むのって楽しいね✨
