How it feels to open the MS you love and start revisions after getting amazing and super helpful feedback from your agent.

Every day I am soooo thankful that I found my writing people and the vibes in our GC is immaculate every single day like never any fighting or jealousy or tension or dragging other authors we just hang out and chat and do whatever we can to support each other. I'm blessed 😌✨️

Third person is tried and true and always good, but man, there really is *nothing* more fun than writing in voicey first person. First person doesn't work for just any book, but I'm telling you when it works, it WORKSSSSS

Everyone is so cooked because what do you mean I'm DMing my agent sib on the 📷 app, and it's asking me if I want AI to summarize the messages she sent me. Who uses AI to read casual messages instead of using their own brains?? Who uses AI to message their friends??? Say sike rn

Idk what kind of weird psychological warfare it is that whenever I feel bad about writing, the foolproof way to make myself feel better is to write. Like....huh???? How does that work????

Just realized the publishing industry has changed me from someone who jumped at every chance they could to talk about writing and being an author into someone who shrugs and goes, "Eh, it's not interesting" before moving on to the next topic as quickly as possible.

The number of times I was asked about my books by family members at my wedding, and the only answer I ever gave was, "They're fine, I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️"

Me, knowing my two-month long, three part marriage/wedding/thing spanning multiple countries is finally over, and now I don't have an excuse to procrastinate my writing anymore

I'll stop talking about wedding stuff soon, but I got our pictures back, and I'm so obsessed.

I'M A PUBLISHED AUTHOR The book that I wrote and dedicated to my true norths, Dotty and Will. The book that saved me from giving up writing. It is out in the world today. Alix and Cameron have been living with me for four years - and now they'll be part of your life, too.

I’m so tired of people declaring perfectly normal literary techniques “bad writing”. 1st person pov isn’t bad. Dual pov isn’t bad. Prologues aren’t bad. Dream sequences aren’t bad. These are all tools. People need to stop confusing personal preferences with objective critique

I'm very late to the game (literally) but I just started playing Hades for the first time today, and wow, I get why the girlies were so into it. I fear my hyperfixation is going to have a field day with this one.

My tragic flaw is that I *love* horror and I love reading horror and very frequently do read horror but I canNOT watch horror films because I'm a little baby.

Every time I see a cool horror film I always think that I would absolutely love to read it in book format but will never be watching the movie.
