When I was a young actor people wanted to know if I wanted to be a serious actor or a funny one. I'd answer "Which kind is Alan Arkin?" and that shut them up.

Asking someone if they play Pickeball is kinda like asking them if they play checkers, right?

“It is a kind of summit in its cruelty”
New: Lauren Davila made a stunning discovery as a graduate student at the College of Charleston: an ad for a slave auction larger than any historian had yet identified. The find yields a new understanding of the enormous harm of such a transaction. propublica.org/article/how-g…

Fun, smart analogy for how to start thinking about your product portfolio as a platform.
There are two things CPO/CTOs are brought into do, on the product side 1. Product -> Platform 2. Product -> Multi Product 1 makes 2 easier, but successful companies often find themselves working backwards

Fascinating thread on the closed v open market dynamics emerging in AI
🔥 If you read one thing about AI this week, let it be Google’s leaked doc “We have no moat, and neither does OpenAI”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Per the source, the internal document is the opinion of a "researcher within Google" and not necessarily Google's view. semianalysis.com/p/google-we-ha…

Always a good strategy- create more value for users!
I am happily paying $20 dollars a month for ChatGPT Plus because of the value it's creating. Twitter removing verification, to try to drive subscription is not going to drive the same behavior. Just develop something that creates more value than the free product.

What a photo…
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican from Georgia, holds her smart phone with former US President Donald Trump on the line, as Rep. Matt Rosendale, a Republican from Montana, waves it off during a meeting of the 118th Congress in the House Chamber on Friday. #SpeakerVote
