5 SITUATIONS WHEN YOU MUST NOT RECEIVE HOLY COMMUNION
The Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus Christ. Out of love and reverence for this great mystery, the Church teaches that we should only receive Communion when properly disposed.
Here are five important situations when a Catholic must refrain from receiving:
▫️ Being in a State of Mortal Sin
If a person is conscious of having committed a grave sin and has not yet received sacramental Confession, they must not receive Communion (Canon 916; CCC 1457).
▫️ Not Observing the Eucharistic Fast
One must fast from food and drink (except water and medicine) for at least one hour before receiving Communion (Canon 919).
▫️ Lack of Proper Disposition
Receiving Communion requires faith, reverence, and the intention to live in communion with Christ and His Church. Approaching the Eucharist without the desire to live according to the Gospel is a serious matter.
▫️ Public and Unresolved Situations of Grave Sin
Those living in a public state of mortal sin (for example, certain irregular marital situations without proper pastoral guidance) are generally not to receive Communion until the situation is resolved according to Church teaching.
▫️ Having Already Received Twice That Day
A person may receive Communion a second time on the same day only under specific conditions (such as participating in another Mass). A third reception is not permitted except in danger of death (Canon 917).These norms are not meant to exclude, but to protect the sacredness of the Eucharist and help us approach Jesus with clean hearts.
When in doubt, go to Confession and seek guidance from a priest.

I just left the Ken Paxton rally in Allen Texas. I’ll attach a photo.
They’re calling it the “come and take it” tour. That’s what I did. I came for fun, which was not really fun, and I took their food and drank their frozen margaritas for free! 😂🤣😂
There were about 200 people outside lined up to get in. The lady in front of us had not gotten a ticket in advance and was turned away. I’m sure there were more in her shoes. Little room we went into in the restaurant probably only had no more than 150 people. I will say the food and margaritas are pretty spot on. I had three and Dave P paid for it!
But here’s what I noticed as I walked the line of all of the people waiting to get in. Most people were older adults. I’m talking retired people with gray hair. Every single person out of the 200 that I looked at were white except one. One man appeared to be Hispanic. There was not one single black person or Asian in line.
I thought they were going to ID me as I stood in line from social media. I’ve made more anti-KenPaxton the whore post then I can imagine.
If they had only known that I had voted for James Talarico that morning before I came, I would have never gotten in!

My electronic ballot machine flipped my vote to a Republican candidate three times. I clicked on Jon Rosenthal, but then the machine switched it to Bo French. I had to click Jon’s name three times to successfully check out with a blue ballot.

BREAKING: "Insane situation!" Kimberly Guilfoyle enters hysterical freefall — she's holed up in the Ambassador's house, screeching at staffers who no longer obey her with an eviction looming.
And her problems are about to get way worse...
"All these people who were totally entranced by her and ignored the writing on the wall have now wiped photos with her, gone radio silent and claim they never wanted anything to do with her," a source close to Guilfoyle told The Daily Mail.
"It's pathetic," they added.
Guilfoyle, who was fired as the Ambassador to Greece after it was revealed that she asked a MAGA donor to pay off $100,000 of her American Express debt in exchange for access to top Trump administration officials, has been given until the end of October to vacate the cushy Jefferson House, the ambassadorial residence in Athens.
It's a fittingly ignominious end to the diplomatic career of a woman whose sole qualification for the post is that she was once engaged to Donald Trump Jr. and sufficiently flattered his father.
"The people in the embassy are no longer afraid of her. Nobody is listening to her or taking her orders anymore," one source in Greece revealed. "She is all alone in that house, screaming at her old staff that they are leakers, and waiting to get kicked out. It's an insane situation."
Several sources informed The Daily Mail that the disgraced Guilfoyle may ultimately decide to remain in
Europe rather than return to the U.S. Presumably, she's worried that she'll be prosecuted for her alleged crimes since Democrats — including Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking member of his party on the House Oversight Committee — have already announced their intentions to investigate her.
"This is the latest in a long list of corruption surrounding the Trump Administration, and we're demanding answers," said Garcia.
As for President Trump, he has already washed his hands of Guilfoyle, tossing her under the bus like he has with so many other former allies and subordinates. When asked about her, he said: "She, I guess, dated my son a long time ago."
If this woman does indeed decide to remain in Europe, Democrats need to proceed with the investigations regardless. If and when a criminal case is assembled, she should be extradited to stand trial!

Arteta is not even doing a coin toss between Gyokeres and Havertz for the starting CF position, like he’s not even letting them battle it out and see who wins.
He just straight up choses Havertz as his preferred striker regardless of any good Gyokeres does or any bad Havertz does.
Despite winning the league last season with Gyokeres playing 90% of the games as the CF and leading the club to UCL final with those performances against Atletico in the semis and scoring 21 goals in all competitions, something Havertz has never done before.
All Havertz just needs to do is be fit or half fit and he’ll start every game.
What sort of treatment is this?

Father Patricio Alfredo Sánchez Molinari's last words,
spoken during a livestreamed Mass on October 17, 2026, focused on the transience of life and devotion to God and family.
Minutes before a large wooden crucifix fell from the wall of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Guayaquil, Ecuador, he told the congregation: "One day, all of us here will also die, and sometimes the time we've spent on things doesn't have as much meaning as the time we spend with God".
He continued by urging people to prioritize
"the quality time we give to God, to our brothers and sisters, to our husbands, wives, children, and family - that time is the best spent".
During the sermon he also asked parishioners to put down their phones and devote time to God and loved ones, and he had just begun another prayer asking God to bless those present when the crucifix detached.
The Archdiocese of Guayaquil confirmed Father Sánchez Molinari, 53, died the same day. A Eucharist in his memory was scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2026, and the circumstances of why the crucifix fell remain under review.
May his gentle soul rest in peace 🕊️

Why Michael Carrick succeeded last season, what changed, and why Manchester United must sack him.
Carrick won 12 of his 17 Premier League games last season, took Manchester United from seventh to third and secured Champions League qualification.
But what worked then, and why has it fallen apart now?
Last season, he played to the team’s strength.
Carrick moved away from Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 and adopted a more familiar 4-2-3-1. Bruno Fernandes returned to the No. 10 role, giving us a natural creative hub. The team became more dangerous in transition, and the midfield was less exposed.
He simplified the football, restored confidence and got better performances from players who had struggled before his arrival.
This season, the tactical approach has changed.
We have increased our possession from 49.1% last season under Carrick to around 58% across competitions this season. Our use of a high block has also increased significantly.
But wanting more possession and pressing higher is not enough. You need the right distances between the defence, midfield and attack, mobile players who can cover space, and defenders comfortable protecting a high line.
We have struggled to get those details right. When opponents bypass the first press, gaps appear between the midfield and defence. The team looks exposed despite having more of the ball.
We are caught between two identities.
We are no longer consistently devastating in transition, yet we have not developed the control, movement and positional discipline required to dominate possession.
The pressing lacks consistency. The midfield struggles to control games. The defence continues to concede from situations that better organization should prevent.
And when we take the lead, we have repeatedly failed to manage games intelligently. The draws against Tottenham and Leeds, alongside the collapse against Atletico, are examples of a team failing to turn promising positions into results.
The players are not blameless. Recruitment, squad balance and the club’s wider structure remain serious issues. But the manager chooses the system, sets the pressing triggers, assigns roles and makes substitutions.
He cannot take all the credit for last season and then blame the squad and owners whenever things go wrong this season.
Last season’s success proved Carrick could make an immediate impact. It did not automatically prove he could build a sustainable long-term project.
Why Carrick must go.
We are 13th in the league and have won just once in our last seven Premier League matches. That is a dramatic decline from last season’s third-place finish.
Manchester United cannot keep waiting indefinitely for a manager to rediscover a formula that worked under different circumstances.
Carrick hasn't establish a coherent identity, correct the defensive problems, improve his in-game management and produce sustained results. So, the club must act.
Carrick deserves credit for what he achieved last season. But past success cannot become immunity from present criticism.
We need a manager whose tactical identity is clear, whose system fits the squad and whose team demonstrates consistent progress.
Carrick has proven that he is not that manager, Manchester United should sack him.
