Georgetown.
FINAL: Georgetown 28, W&M 27. Crazy game as Hoyas win on Gavin Beard's 10-yard TD pass to Hassan Mahasin on fourth-and-goal with 49 seconds remaining. Tribe falls to 3-5, 1-4 in the Patriot.

For everyone asking, “how is this legal?” It’s not! He gathers with his right foot on the floor and would be permitted two steps by rule (left-right). He takes four steps after gathering the ball and travels.
"That's a travel." How many steps from LaMelo? 😭

Sources: An injunction was granted in California for the Glancey V. NCAA case, giving all members of the Class of 2022 involved eligibility through the end of the 2026-27 college basketball season. The NCAA will appeal.

"Injunction-driven roster build" is all the rage.
Trey Kaufman-Renn gives Kansas a better chance to bounce back in March. But is this injunction-driven roster build really how Bill Self should want his final chapter to look? One GM: “It’s mercenary off-brand G League basketball.” si.com/college-basketball/bi…

Not so minor point. They told Kelsey and everyone else what the rules were. Most coaches followed them. Several chose to support legal challenges and sign those players. Which of course is their right, but they can't say they didn't know what the rules are.
Pat Kelsey on the witness stand is electric: "Tell me the rules and I'll follow them! Nobody follows them. You're trying to trick me with a bunch of stuff. END THE CHAOS! END. THE. CHAOS."

"We needed to touch the stove." Great stuff here, including some humbling scrimmage footage. About as honest and unvarnished a look behind the scenes of a D1 program as you're going to get.

First #UVA player to receive the preseason nod since Malcolm Brogdon in 2015-16. Brogdon then won year-end Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.

So some will be eligible, and some won't, depending on where their case was heard? Indiana, yes? South Carolina, no? To cite a couple of states.
Update on today’s Wisne hearing.👇 Prediction is that the trial court’s preliminary injunction gets reversed. Meaning class of 2022 athletes seeking a fifth season will have to rely on injunctions granted in other state and federal cases.

The math on James Madison's Sun Belt-to-American move is fairly simple, even at a reduced share. The American distributes an avg of about $7 million to its members in TV money every year. The Sun Belt's deal gives its membership in the $1 million range.

Per ESPN sources, the timing of this JMU move comes in part because the Sun Belt had been attempting to raise the exit fees. The league was meeting about that this week and voting later in the week, which sped up this process of the Sun Belt.

With just three wins out of 76 games against Power Four opponents, the Group of Six has reached a competitive low point in the modern history of college football. The transfer portal has finally killed Cinderella. Column for @yahoosports sports.yahoo.com/college-foo…

Quite the operation. I realize they are being inclusive, including support staff, etc., but I can't recall seeing a team pic with that many people.
Here’s your 2026-27 @ODU_MBB team. Go Monarchs!

Great piece by Jeff on a UVA athletics institution, the longest-serving member of the department, in his 44th (!) year.
In athletic training, Ethan Saliba is the gold standard, as generations of student-athletes will attest. It’s hard to imagine UVA Athletics without Saliba, but his legendary tenure is about to end. He’s retiring after 43-plus years with @VirginiaSports. virginiasports.com/news/2026…
