📢 Shipped tauri-plugin-device-info v1.1.0 — a reactive watch API for battery, network, storage, display & device.
The interesting part is what's underneath:
• macOS monitors are natively event-driven (IOKit, Core Graphics, SystemConfiguration) — the CPU stays idle between changes instead of waking up every 2s
• Everywhere else: change-detecting polling that only emits on a real change, with per-kind intervals (device 60s, storage 10s, rest 2s)
• Monitors are reference-counted — one per kind, torn down with the last subscriber
Same API, same event names on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Backwards compatible, the getters aren't going anywhere.
