Embarking on a new journey today as I am now training to become an AI Engineer! Reflecting on my younger self, I remember being quite perplexed at the idea of choosing a path for my studies. Very quickly though, I came to the conclusion that, while identifying as a geek, I wanted to keep this side of me as a hobby; and decided to venture into business management instead. But the geek side obviously always stayed and got constantly nurtured over time, for it is who I am. As a firm believer that life is a never-ending learning process, I always fantasized about the idea of extending my learning vertically by pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA). But last year was a time for me to reflect and I realized the value and synergies that going horizontal could bring. So now is the perfect time for me to bring together two of my strongest passions—fintech & AI. There's no doubt in my mind that AI is taking over the world at an unprecedented speed, even by tech standards, and in so doing will change every single aspect of our lives. In fact, we already see it happening today. So, I am particularly excited to take on this new challenge and push my limits to new frontiers. I can't wait to merge both my experience in fintech and my newly acquired tech skills in Artificial Intelligence, and see where my journey will take me... It is certainly unknown; it is mostly scary—but it is also at least equally exciting!
