On Friday, I stupidly fell for a phishing attack and lost control of @PudgyCanada. The scammer sent an email (see below) that caused me to be in panic mode while dealing with my kids' summer camp stuff. Without thinking it being suspicious, I clicked on the link on my phone and followed the instructions to "fix the issue". Had I used my PC for this, I would've noticed all the red flags (email account without blue check, says noreply@overview-x.com via sendgrid[dot]net, link doesn't go to x[dot]com) The site was well made and I thought it was the legitimate X support site. After entering my login credentials for Pudgy Canada including the 2FA code at the time, next thing it says is that it requires desktop to finish the process. That, of course, felt weird. Then what follows next was a notification that the account had an email change. I quickly clicked that it wasn't me and tried to reset the password. I believe the rest of the password was a success but not complete because the scammer also changed the 2FA and backup code. Currently we are going through the recovery process with @Support and hopefully we will be able to retrieve it soon. For now, if there are any posts that's not regarding our upcoming events or a shoutout to pudgy holders, please refrain from interacting. I apologize to all those who trusted me with the account (especially to @Leawin_eth). Once I retrieve the account, I will post an update.

This is an appreciation post for the unsung heroes of @PudgyCanada. Even though I’m the loud one of the group, I couldn’t have done this alone. Huge shout out to these 4 individuals! @Leawin_eth, @fartpudgy, @Spiffy_Penguin, and @aingeth ! Leawin started it all and continues to lead. She’s the forever queen of Pudgy Canada 👸 Fart has attended several of our events and helped setup and take down. He travels far (plane and car) just to be with us ✈️ 🚙 Spiffy is the lone penguin in the East side that handles everything on her own. She then took the initiative to make a full on costume (very cute one might I add) to share the happiness with the world ❤️ Angel is the mastermind behind activities. She’s my go to person for everything fun 🤩 Pudgy Canada has grown in a very short time thanks to these passionate members. We have more coming this year so make sure to follow @PudgyCanada!
