I don’t know any of the story behind that but I do know parts for such things are hard to find. They are not found on the shelf at Target or Wal-Mart!

I agree Eddie. I was shocked to see the pylon in turn one gone last weekend. It’s tradition and they could have up graded like Wilksboro. Texas had 2 under your watch Eddie. Eddie in Texas
Ha! @NASCAR would never admit it, but I helped make more new NASCAR fans than anybody due to the new track in DFW. Funny how they talk about NYC, LA & Chicago but never talk about the importance of nation’s fourth-largest market, DFW. I always preached the greatness of the sport.

Well at least they knew who you are. I don’t even know who the new promoter is. You talked to my mother and I during a swap meet at the track and talked us into buying tickets and became nascar fans! I’ll never forget that.
You’re being very kind. I’m not sure everyone would agree, though.
I fought for the fans. That is true.

It may not be true, but I told someone at the track that we wouldn’t have lost the pylons if Eddie were still here. 😂🤣 We trusted you to understand how to give us a great race experience. 😉🤷🏼♀️
I don’t know. I don’t work there any longer. They wouldn’t consult me.
Great, great news, Holly! So happy to hear this. Have fun!
After months of cancer treatment - I finished chemo and radiation - got the “okay” from docs to cover a race at track - and couldn’t be happier to be at @TALLADEGA this weekend! Unlike the cars, Im still moving a little slowly - but excited to he here! #grateful #NASCAR
Have somebody tear that building there and rebuild. Start from scratch. I would not get close to that building.
There were two: one as you enter turn three and one as you enter turn one. We removed the one entering turn three because we couldn’t get parts. I haven’t been there in three years but I assume the pylon as you enter turn one was removed for similar reasons but I don’t know.

@eddiegossage two quick questions. What happened to the scoring pylons at TMS? And back in the day (like 2005-ish), I remember drivers talking about a bump in 1 & 2. But I don't remember one in 3 & 4. Am I missing something?
Oh, no! I’m so sorry, @Bobby_Labonte and Terry Labonte. Such a cool man and a bad ass racer. I’m sorry for your entire family’s loss. I always enjoyed our conversations. He asked no quarter and gave no quarter. A true racer and, obviously, a great dad. May God rest his kind soul.
This week, Terry and I lost our Dad. To many of you who knew him around the garage, you know he was larger than life. To us he was our Dad and also a crew chief, a mentor, our biggest fan, our motivation at times, and our hero. He and our Mom dedicated their lives to our racing careers and to our family. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Dad, although we know he is in a far better place. We thank everyone for their support during this difficult time.
Curious going into total eclipse how the best photog, @TomFoxPhoto of @dallasnews, would capture the point of totality. This is the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, one of two signature entrance bridges entering the City of Dallas. Tom didn’t disappoint, as he never does.
Perhaps Franklin Graham said it best.
President Biden has declared tomorrow—Easter Sunday—as “Transgender Day of Visibility.” This once again shows how little respect President Biden and his administration have for God. On the most significant day of the Christian calendar, when the Church around the world celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ who died and shed His blood for the sins of mankind, the Biden administration uses this opportunity to flaunt sin, to glorify sin, and to celebrate sin. The Bible says, “…they proclaim their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them!” (Isaiah 3:9). Judgment is coming. Instead of celebrating sin, we need to confess our sins, repent of our sins, and ask for God’s forgiveness.
You know how I think, Rich. Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse. Don’t let gremlins bite you. (And a blue banner would look better!)
Well, my bracket is already busted.
I had @Max33Verstappen going undefeated but then he had a brake line explode in the @ausgrandprix in @F1.
Now March Madness has turned into March Badness for my bracket. How’s your bracket?
Dale gave me the pair of Nike racing shoes that he was wearing when he flipped in the 1997 @DAYTONA 500. He got in the ambulance before he realized the car was straight. Jumped out of the ambulance, climbed in the car & finished 31st, five laps down to winner @JeffGordonWeb.
‘99 Nike unveiled Nike Racing @ the Brickyard 400 weekend. @DaleJarrett was one of their flagship drivers wearing Air Zoom Drive Pro DJ shoes w/ an 88 & DJ’s signature on tongue. He’d win wearing Nike shoes that weekend. @Bobby_Labonte & @TonyStewart were in the Nike lineup too.
TBT: Big Hoss TV is the largest TV screen in the world, certified by @GWR. They presented me with this certificate. These are rare and hard to come by so I’m proud to have my name on one.
It adds to the fan experience & that’s why we added it. We wanted the BEST for the fans.
I don’t know how I could afford them considering how little I was paid. There was no money in @NASCAR then. You did it because you loved the sport. And the taste of Beenie-weenies!
In honor of today’s race, here’s a young @ItsBristolBaby PR guy in the old press box atop turn one. There were three of us on the staff, Debbi Wilson selling tickets, Jimmy Crussell maintaining the grounds and me. This is probably 1982. You can tell by the Jordache jeans. @NASCAR
