Another wildly successful Toy Drive thanks to so many. My girl, @Amy1irish , is at the top of the list. But all of the elves, the staff at Wolf Burger, the local businesses and generous friends & neighbors also made this possible.
Merry Christmas everyone. Here's to you.
The Eagles, who were at 4.5 on Monday morning, are at +8 in a few places, including @BorgataAC
That's a good-sized middle.
"I thought it would be all Jags money but we have gotten some Philly backing." -- @tgablesports
Good luck with whatever comes next.
Welp. They got me. Monday was my last day with Catena Media.
I'm feeling lots of things, but mostly just lucky to have spent nine years working with some elite colleagues and friends at @LSPReport. I learned so much. Super proud of what we did and how we went about doing it.

Dear Regulated Sportsbooks,
You're losing. However, it's not too late to take this advice from 2024⤵️
💡Here's a sportsbook innovation that I think will eventually take off:
The ability for the bettor to name their price.
Sportsbook gets first right of refusal and can decide if they want to take it or offer it to other customers to fill, with some vig on top.
It's like having an exchange without relying on two-way action or the adverse selection of being a market maker.
It benefits bettors (line shopping) and sportsbooks (sharp signal) and the market (price discovery).
Kudos to the seeded exchanges (@sporttrade_app, @PlayProphetX, etc) and the pseudo-exchanges (@novig_app) for blazing this trail forward for everyone.

There are always things for writers that don't make the final cut so I'll send a couple on Harlan if interested. Here's one:
NEW FEATURE: Kevin Harlan has navigated working for three major sports employers for decades. It's been a remarkable run – he averages 150,000 miles of travel per year – and I wanted to see how he and his employers pulled it off.
My profile of Harlan for @SBJ:

Amen. Such a good dude.
When Mark went into the HHOF, I was hoping to speak to his dad for a story.
It took about a day when I got a call from Mark, driving to Philly with Pop.
"Hey Ed, got a minute to talk to my dad?"
Next thing I knew I'm on the phone with Gordie Howe. Yo.

Sharing this one more time as St. Joe’s hits the floor for its quarterfinal game…
Of course Steve Donahue thought he’d never be a head coach again. How could he have thought otherwise? A year later, he’s the A-10 coach of the year.
It took a lot to get here: inquirer.com/college-sports/…
asked @tgablesports of @BorgataAC if there was a prop out there he's rooting against:
"Both teams to record a safety would be really bad," he said.
LOL
Would help those 5/9 block pool numbers, though.
Some sharps in here, some squares -- but ALWAYS interesting...especially the fellow who has over Maye 222.5 passing yards at -115...not sure if that line/odds exists anymore, but he's as sharp as there is
one of the best things out there this weekend
We had a lot of alt lines given out on SuperStream 60 last night. I ran them through the @UnabatedSports alt line calculator to see which had value:
✅SEA -7.5 +159 🧮: +157
✅SEA -13.5 +300 🧮: +275
✅SEA -16.5 +420 🧮: +391
❌SEA -6.5 +108 🧮: +122

The Pats opened -5.5, and I thought it was a gift that it wasn't 6.5 or 7. More proof that I'm as sharp as a cotton ball.
"+5.5, +5 and +4.5 all swallowed up by the sharps on that game," said @tgablesports "We will need the Broncos as public is still backing the Patriots"
Sigh
Had a little fun with an Eagles-49ers preview. Snuck in a mention of the Temple guy who plays for San Fran.
25 things to know about the Eagles’ wild-card round opponent, the 49ers ebx.sh/3fpa2h
The Eagles will open as 3-point favorites over San Fran according to @BorgataAC sportsbook head Tom Gable ( @tgablesports ).
Beyond humbled, but there are soooo many other people that make this work starting with @Amy1irish @mikekerndn my sisters, our hosts at Wolf Burger, Nicole at Whitman and countless elves.
Hope to see folks on Friday. If not, have a good Christmas.
For more than 20 years, @edbarkowitz has ran a toy drive to make sure kids in South Philly get the Christmas they deserve. Friday night, he’ll get another reminder of why he does it. inquirer.com/sports/daily-ne…

In the spirit of our new book, Bullies, I’m posting daily photos connected to the @NHLFlyers of that Stanley Cup era.
