This is part of my son's scout activities. This is the first time he is doing an online sale. He will also do wagon sales and storefront sales locally.
Please buy it only if you really want to eat the popcorn (it's not cheap :) and support Scouts.

A new publication today in Nature Sustainability, another exciting product from our global BIODESERT collaborations. We showed that drylands are prominent hotspots for microbial traits, fewer than a quarter of these hotspots fall within protected areas.

High school student Campbell Bell finished her summer internship in my lab. For the past 2 months, she has done an amazing job working on the dew project. Today she presented at the Project SEED symposium!
My PhD student Mengyun Sun has been a fantastic mentor for Campbell!

A memorable weekend in Charlottesville this weekend to celebrate my PhD advisor, Prof. Steve Macko's retirement from UVA after almost 40 years of an amazing career.
This academic family tree is a gift from all the students.
We are grateful to the Powell Center for funding our ARID proposal "Towards an integrated multi-scale understanding of dryland plant traits with application to land management". We'll recruit a postdoc for this project very soon!
