Dr. Jane Goodall’s approach to conservation is based on her philosophy that addressing the needs of human populations in and around forest habitats is the only way to long-lasting, systemic change. Stay tuned for an upcoming blog series diving into the concept of systems change!
Check out Episode 2 in our new Ecological Mindset Podcast Series, in which Jeffery D. Long, a professor of Religion and Asian Studies at Elizabethtown College, discusses Jainism and Hinduism and reflects on how Dharma values can help create a more sustainable world. 🌏
Happy Earth Day! 🌱🌍🐚
If physically showing up to a tree planting, beach cleaning, or other collective action today isn’t accessible, this guide invites you to consider other creative ways to participate by leaning into the theme of an ecological mindset.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was an inspiring example of a leader with an ecological mindset. King's vision was ultimately one of connectedness, and his phrase, “network of mutuality,” can be considered just as valid of a definition of ecology as any posited by an ecologist.
What is the relationship between Jainism and the environmental movement? Find out from Shivani Bothra, Assistant Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at California State University, Long Beach. Listen here: ecociv.org/podcast/episode-5…
Exciting News 🌍 W12+ Programs has secured a grant through the @hiltonfound for a game-changing project in Uganda, Ghana, and Ethiopia to empower local water security NGOs. Our water team is set to make site visits later this month! Stayed tuned. #WaterSecurity #NGOs #W12plus
