The AG shouldn't have to be convinced to investigate seditious attacks. The CDC shouldn't have to be convinced to save lives. Congress shouldn't have to be convinced to protect voting rights. It's ominous, and telling, that they don't WANT to protect the US and its people.

Here is the head of NYC corrections sounding the alarm: 1% of prisoners were COVID positive until recently, 9.5% yesterday, over 17% today. He “implores” us to stop sending people to rikers.

6 months ago today I wore this blue suit as I cleaned the Capitol after the insurrection, now I just donated it to the Smithsonian. Jan6 must never be forgotten. While some try to erase history, I will fight to tell the story so it never happens again. Here is one story…(THREAD)

Once again, Garland serves Trump and Barr. We warned you about this many times on @gaslitnation. The DOJ is a corrupt institution and Garland is a corrupt institutionalist.
New, with more to come: DOJ under Biden is keeping up the previous admin's effort to take over Trump's defense against a defamation lawsuit filed by writer E. Jean Carroll — an effort Biden criticized during the campaign. First brief under new admin: assets.documentcloud.org/doc…

In October, @mashagessen asked the anti-corruption activist Alexey Navalny whether he would return to Russia after being poisoned. “Of course I’m going back,” he said. “If I don’t, that will be the ideal outcome for them.” Today, he was detained in Moscow. nyer.cm/SfOLYv8

There are folks running around on TV blaming progressivism for Dem underperformance. I was curious, so I decided to open the hood on struggling campaigns of candidates who are blaming progressives for their problems. Almost all had awful execution on digital. DURING A PANDEMIC.

What they have done - from @staceyabrams & @fairfightaction to @ConMijente and the whole underrecognized legion of organizers- is nothing short of remarkable. Give them their flowers 💐

Dad’s ability to improvise and compose beautiful melodies on the fly has always amazed me. Tonight, I gave him four random notes as a starting point. Although his dementia is getting worse, moments like this bring him back to me.

Of the 58 important jazz artists who gathered in Harlem for this historic photo on August 12, 1958, only two remain with us: Benny Golson and Sonny Rollins—who celebrates his 90th birthday today. Let’s celebrate with him. #NewksTime

This is what @Pct1Constable wants you to see: where the US #covid economy and policy has brought us to today. It’s an awful scenario where so many need help, from jobs to housing and our thanks to the Constables for allowing the public to see the raw truth xitter.cf/joshscampbell/status/1…
